The press needs to take the gloves off.

The Boston media needs to ask Jerod some really hard questions and grill and drill him about what he’s doing and is he suited or long to be the head coach.

Jerod, Wolf and Kraft need to feel the heat.
Mayo's feeling the heat.. he's in a collaborative situation. He's the OC but has to get ownership approval. The only consistent thing is we have been 1-3 past 4 seasons.

This group is *exactly* who the Boston Sports Media wanted. They wanted anyone but Belichick, because he wasn't nice to them, for decades. They're getting exactly what they wanted. Anyone (like Tom Curran today) doing performative ********, when they were *complicit* in this, is the highest of hypocrisy.
Bill is a NEP legend a NFL legend. That can never change. The roster eroded to the point where Ownership felt it needed a change.. this wasn't an overnight thing. However I'm at the point now of what's been different now than the last few seasons? May have just kept Bill.

Take the top off the defence?

1) when has T. Thornton proven anything in this league? How many games/months/years do we need to realize he’s another Bill bust at WR?

2) deep routes take time. Our line doesn’t give the time those routes need.

Until the line gets fixed nothing changes.
The Maginot Line had fewer holes than this OLine.

Why? To pressure Mayo to play the quarterback you didn’t want them to take?

Everyone knew they were going to struggle this season, and anyone who didn’t is a moron. The bottom line is that nothing is going to work until the offensive line can block, and right now they can’t. There is no magic trick that will make that better. All they can do is to keep plowing ahead and try to get better.

In the meantime I suggest you listen to every talk radio show you can, there will be unlimited temper tantrums to fill your ears with all the anger you desire.

So you expected them to turn around overnight? Or are you just upset that they won’t ruin the quarterback of their future to satisfy angry fans?

Proof read my post. I said the state of the team has eroded that last 4 seasons with Bill and had continued under mayo. Of course I don't think it's an overnight fix..

We don't have a QB. That's the problem. Ownership assured us a better product than last season. What entertainment value are the fans getting who pay for parking, concessions, tickets.. and every other revenue source the team has. You as a fan should be angry too if you're team hasn't shown anything of what they preached all of season. The dynasty was built off excellence at the QB position.. that kept fans engaged, thrilled and a reason for hope and exhilarating. It's embarrassing righ now. So has nothing to do with being angry it's reality of where the team is. They aren't going to play Drake it makes to much sense.

They chose to buy low on the OLine. They made very little effort at all. But when they did, they decided they would shop the garage heap. Impressive. Nothing difficult about that.

I think the last minute expansion of the cap really changed the free agent market to a point where all you would be doing was overpaying for mediocre players, with the exception of a few high level players who probably weren’t interested in coming here, so I gave them a pass on staying away from it. I don’t think they will have that option after this season. Hopefully it will be a strong free agent market, and they will spend significantly to upgrade everywhere they need to.

The reason they aren’t playing Maye is obvious, you just don’t like it. Too bad, get over it. Maye shouldn’t see the field until they can block, if that bothers you so much then don’t watch.

I have made myself very clear on this season, I don’t care what their record is, and I want Maye to sit until they believe he is ready to play, and the team is ready for him to play, and right now they clearly aren’t ready for him. If you are watching these games with the expectation of entertainment then you are seriously deluded, as that isn’t going to happen. What really matters is finding out who can play and who can’t, and then going into the offseason ready to make all the changes necessary to build a winner.

And I understand where you're coming from.. I root for them win or losses every Sunday.. I'm with you on finding out who can play.. I'm just saying even the most optimistic fan like myself I'm not feeling confident we can see anything different than what we've been seeing unless something changes with the QB play..

It's very hard watching Andy Dalton play and moving the Panthers up and down the field and we can't even stay on the field.

This is the fourth year in a row we are saying that. Cam and Mac just made inexplicable blunders and literally lost games. I know the OL is below par. Injuries have been a problem for at least 3 of the 4 years. BUT, we just can't seem to find a QB capable of pre and post snap reads. If Maye doesn't start this week and give the line a break, then I don't see him being a productive QB this year. Why bother.

You hit it spot on! The common denominator is the QB.. we had past years where the OL struggled but we had the QB play to mitigate it. There is going to be some hard conversations had with Mayo and his staff being this thing is starting to bottom out.

Yeah, that'll fix the OL issues.

If you think the press is ever going to attack Mayo, you haven't been paying attention to the Tomlin years.

Curran said they could win 9 games a few days ago.

They did that across the board.

This team is not what it is because of the decisions solely of Mayo/Wolf it is what it is today because this roster is crap and was allowed to get worse over several years.
Next years cap space is about $136 million, hopefully they spend this wisely, address some of the many needs of this team and draft well.
Difficult to judge any of these folks, will wait until next year.
you can judge what they did this year.
After resigning their own free agents with over 60 mill left, the my went out and got Brissett, chunks, Osborne and Gibson with it.
Why would you think they will do well in FA next year?

Great idea, send the rookie QB out there to get the living **** kicked out of him. It has worked so well for the other bad teams, they get to pick top 5 year after year. But hey, at last the fans will get to scream about how bad he sucks until they use another pick at QB, and the cycle starts all over again.
