Is this going to be the running theme for the first 4 games? That the Pats are catching breaks?

Bengals - No Tee Higgins
Seahawks - No Kenneth Walker (RB) or George Fant (RT), or Owusu (LB)
Jets - QB controversy starting??
49ers - McCaffery on IR, but Mason showed to be a beast
Dolphins - No Tua?? or Hawk Tuah???

Yeah both are pretty big. Im hearing they are pretty weak at rg too so their line is in pretty bad shape. We Need to capitalize on this
Yep, overload the right side and pressure Geno like hell.

Interesting.. if we end up having a successful season that will likely be the theme. However Joe Burrow is a top 5 QB, walker is a nice back but is he a game changer? I said personally that Rodgers wouldn't be the Rodgers we saw in GB especially coming off a serious injury at 40.. I read that he contemplated retirement last season. Tua.. it's just a sad unfortunate thing that's happened to Tua. He's really one the good guys off the field you root for. However hill and Waddle are still there. I say anyway, anyhow we need to take wins anyway they come.

HOLY S**T.. Okorafor left the team..

Oline is a challenge that will be overcome. Just like the ****ty schedule

As others have said, Okorafor leaving doesn’t have an immediate impact since he wasn’t starting, but he was the top swing tackle pretty much. Now, they have some depth issues there and in general.

Backups-

C: Leverett
RG: Leverett
LG: Thomas
RT: Wallace
LT: Jacobs

There’s a couple guys on the PS also (Hudson at C, Jones at T) but they’re fresh and would require elevations, and I don’t think the team elevated either one for tomorrow’s game anyway.

I have Thomas at RG. Perhaps, Thomas can be the backup at both guards spots.

WEEK TWO
Lowe. Jordan/Sow, Andrews, Robinson, Onwenu
Jacobs, Leverett, Leverett, Thomas, Wallace

Are you counting Robinson as a starter right now?

I'm hoping that Caleb Jones will be ready sooner rather than later.

Sow was already listed as out as of yesterday.

Jordan was the only elevation made for this game.

FYI on Miguel's (@Patscap) take on Chuk's sal cap implications.

Chuks DID inform the team:

Everyone was thrilled with the surprise win week 1. But, it seems to have caused an immediate overreaction about the quality of our team.
The Bengals may be much worse than assumed, and certainly came in sleeping and got trapped by a prepared Pats team.
Today we'll see if our subpar offense can compete with the middle tier teams of the league.
We're going to have to rely on Brissett passing for more than 120.
Can we get the WR's going at all? They totaled 66yds last week.
Today we see if the first meaningful win in years was a fluke.

Does the nfl saying they should have allowed the Gesiecki (sp?) TD change the discussion-dynamic at all?

If some folks now count the game, at least mentally, as a loss; ….
- they may feel more emboldened to argue against the JB Bridge-Season.
- Winning the game also validated Mayo as a ‚on the right track‘ first time HC. If he loses this Seattle game; maybe that good will/momentum is squandered (especially if a big >7 pt loss).

Personally; I think they are on right track regardless of outcomes these first 3-4 weeks.
I’m good w JB for 8 weeks, come what maye.

I didn't hear that, is that the official word from the NFL now?
If so, it's crap. Sure, they got 2 very unlucky breaks that could have cost us the game, but that's football every week.
Our D made the plays to break up would-be TD's. (or at least in Gesicki's case, he bobbled it to the ground)
I hope we can frustrate Geno as much as we did Burrow - who also seemed the most disinterested I've ever seen him.

Absolutely everything went right for us, almost freakishly so, and we won by a point. Love this team, but it ain't gonna happen like that too often. FWIW, I like the idea of being patient with Drake, but I don't like briskett's take no chances QBing. The guy is afraid to throw the ball. Sure that may give us an extra win or even two, but how are we going to develop our young receivers that way? This year is more about development than wins and losses (ducking..)

There was a link at the top of the Patriots news feed that is now gone. I found two similar story-links; but these are not exactly the first one I read & info appears now to be 3d hand so I’m now unsure about the „official nyjfl“ position:
