West Coast team traveling east for a 1 o'clock game is a tough road trip.

DK v Gonzalez is a fun matchup.

No turnovers and run like we did vs Cincy and we should be able to get another w.
I've said personally.. we could be what the 2017 Jags were. Stout running game. Decent passing attack.. fueled by a tough defense. That team went 12-4.

They need to sit Polk. No need to rush him out there with Jakoby Brissett handing off the ball 75% of the time and with his accuracy problem he could injured Polk. Better sit him this year so he can learn the defenses watching film and taking reps in practice
Nice try bucko, starting Brissett over Maye is the smart choice like it or not!

If I am the Seahawks, I’m stacking the box and force Brissett to beat us.

Dk Metcalf and Kevin Lockett are still good. I would surmise that Gonzo will be paired with DKM.

Agreed. I'm a fan of polk playing. WRs need to play. He's likely are 2nd best WR outside of polk. I think polk sees increase in his snaps going forward.

That's the gameplan of every team on our schedule.
Yep. We'll see if Brisset can run a short passing game. I think he's accurate enough, but can he speed up his processing and get the ball out fast enough? Can the new OC scheme it up well enough that he has enough time? Can the o-line hold up as surprisingly well as they did last week? If the Pats persist in running the ball, even if the results are not great, they will have a chance. The lack of offensive talent puts a pretty firm upward limit on what the offense can do, but they are not completely without options and, based on game 1, it seems they will certainly play hard.

I'm thinking, given the way teams will likely defend this offense, that at some pint Tiquan will have a big game (assuming he can stay on the field). Maybe this will be that week, if the db's cheat a little to help against the run.

Joke's on them, the Patriots can't throw anyway.
Rinse & repeat same as cincy. Like coach says.. teams know we want to run it, they have to stop it. If they do then we have capable guys. I don't really know much about Seattle's defensive front. I know they have had some turnover past few seasons.

Those DBs will have to come up to help with the run. Tyquan can have a day.

?

When has Tyquan ever had “ a day?”

Regardless of how fast he is Thornton has shown no ability to be a downfield threat. A better way to use him would be to get the ball in his hands as fast as you can and let him run. Unless you want him to be decoy that no one buys into?

He "could " have a day. True and utilize his speed I can what you're saying. My guy @PatsFan2 would love to see Tyquan have a breakthrough game.

Well it's said that JB knows the AVP offense. What I do like about the offense it utilized the TEs. I mean under whatever you want to call the offense last 2 season it's like the TE wasn't an afterthought. The TE in this offense is huge commodity. I can certainly see as the season goes on.. us becoming more balanced. Yes you can win running the ball but you also need to hit open guys.

He was winning matchups last week. So were some of the other guys. Just weren’t getting the ball.

Correct. He missed Tyquan on at least 2 deep shot attempts.

No question. And if teams focus on stopping the run, that can open up short passes. (I know that's just basic.) I guess i wish we had a TE who had had a better balance receiving/blocking. We're sort of stuck with one option - Henry - who's mostly a receiver and guys who play the position but are pretty much extra tackles. Last week they played one of each, which worked pretty well, but it'd be nice to keep the defense guessing what a player capable of both roles might do. It'd be nice to pick up a more full-spectrum TE next year or off the scrap heap. I'm not necessarily criticizing anybody: the offense is rebuilding from a very low point with a lot of holes to be filled, and the guys they have seem to be playing really hard, so I'd be a whiny ingrate if complained too much at this point.
