So would Mayo. He is our #3 QB, having earned that spot. It really is that simple.Would much rather Milton gets snaps this year than Zappe. At least he is entertaining.

Boston media have been stealing from these pages for decades.Bedard stole our thread.
Purdy was allowed to play, and for an already very good team.If Brock Purdy was cut, he would immediately be claimed by another team. He could be traded for a draft pick, without a doubt. He won football games. Zappe was not considered worth anyone trading anything for him, did not get claimed, did not make a roster, and is on a practice squad.
As did Zappe (and Flutie), until he was benched (like Flutie). He won football games.
Reverse the teams and treatment of the two players, and the 49ers have won one or two Super Bowls, while the Patriots might still have Mac Jones.Perhaps you haven’t, but most of the world has.
Yeah that's another problem with Brady. He wasn't entertaining enough.Would much rather Milton gets snaps this year than Zappe. At least he is entertaining.
You are omnipresentChiefsplanet asking the most intelligent and thought provoking questions in their thread about Zappe

I knew there was a reason Showtime15 hangs out there now.
I read this Bedard screed, and it can't get over how dumb it is. He's barely coherent.
How could you tell? But he agrees with me!
How could you tell?
Aside from skills, ability and demonstrating it on the field, what are you looking for? A sign from God?I've seen nothing at all ever to convince me that Bailey Zappe isn't a better quarterback than Brock Purdy.

There are a LOT of posts in this thread - but this ^ is the obvious answer. Why was Zappe cut? Because he wasn’t good enough.
really? so Zappe claimed Zappe off KC's Practice Squad?Too bad the Pats couldn’t hold on to Zappe a bit longer. There might be a spot in GB that just opened up for a trade.
Good enough for the champsWhy was Zappe cut? Because he wasn’t good enough.
But he is good enough for NFL champs. One man's trash is another man's treasure! There are a LOT of posts in this thread - but this ^ is the obvious answer.
“Why do we care ?” is a more apt question.
But he is good enough for NFL champs. One man's trash is another man's treasure!
Why do we care? I care because we're about to start the season behind perhaps the worst OL in NFL history with the future of the franchise one punishing sack away from having to play behind it. If Zappe was still here as QB2, I wouldn't have to worry about that.
It's not true that NO team thinks Zappe is worthy of a roster spot. Most teams haven't even considered him because they don't have a need on their 53, and they've had other guys in camp and preseason learning their system. There's no way they plug in Zappe as QB2 at this point. But that could change during the season. And obviously, Zappe could end up on the Chief's 53 this season as QB2 if there's an injury. He's the next man up. Then Zappe haters will say, "He's only there because of injury! He sucks!" It's all so tiresome. Zappe could win a SB (far-fetched, I know) and the haters will still say, "He sucks!"and if you were in charge, you would sign Zappe off KC's team as would any other team that thought that need a backup QB and thought that Zappe was even a longshot at being able to be a #2.
BOTTOM LINE
Any team could sign Zappe to their 53- man roster. NO team thinks that Zappe is worthy of a roster spot.
