Held Hostage by the OT Position

David Bakhtiari should be brought in on a one year deal.
Um, yeah. Have to offer a boatload of money. He wants to play for a contender.

A healthy DB would pivot the whole OL to a much better place.

Okorafor reportedly wants to be on the right side where he’s played his whole professional career.

Anderson should not be making the 53. Wallace hasn’t cracked the starting lineup. Can he even transition to the left? Eliot panicked and reached for this kid.

And Maye will have to be the starter sooner than he should unless Jacoby can stop sucking. ( Really think Gardner Minshew should have been brought in instead.)

I am not sure Elliot panicked. It might have been a poor scouting eval. I think Wallace has quick feet, but he is not working out to this point.

Hearing today.....
After signing his massive new contract, apparently Onwenu showed up to camp overweight which has limited his mobility, and this compelled the coaches to play him on the interior.

wow, a 3rd round draftee isn't a starter in his first game. He certainly isn't working out.

Personally, I think that there is a good chance that Wallace will be a starter in 2025, perhaps at RT. Alternatively, he could be our 2025 swing OT.

Source? He doesn’t seem like the type

I always love suggestions that all we have to do is trade with another team, like we just call and they’ll automatically say “yes”.

What makes you think the Saints would make that trade?

Why is it not a good assumption that if he’s good enough for us to want him they’d want to keep him?
Just force the trade like on Madden or the Mock draft simulator. DUH!!!

I commentated in the game thread he looked like ass out there.
Idiots on the radio say hey we hear he gained weight ... I was like did you morons watch the game?
He looked like he was lunging at ghosts out there ...

Onwenu has always had weight issues even dating back to his time at MI. He is exactly the type. Not sure why you say that.

Onwenu is reported to have shown up at camp at 360 to 380 after signing a contract to play RT. So they moved Onwenu to RG (too overweight for tackle) until he was in better shape 3+ weeks into camp. Still his mobility playing RT against Washington backups was not great.

Not widely reported by the local guys. You can guess why.

Don’t lightball it. He can get to 380 easier than some of us can parallel park.

He did this last year too after coming back from injury.

C Wallace is a Rookie give him some time it won't take much to crack this line up.

Yup, it will not take much to crack this lineup, you are right.

By the same logic, if Wallce is not cracking this lineup, at RT where he played in college, you have to wonder why. Onwenu started as a rookie, Sow started as a rookie, Andrews started as a rookie, Strange started as a rookie, etc.
