Reagor - 2 receptions for 10 yards on 4 targets & 15 snaps, 2 KR for 53 yards (26.5YPR), 2 PR for 13 yard (6.5YPR) w 2/FC
Wallis - 2 receptions for 16 yards on 6 targets & 38 snaps , 7 KR for 202 yards (28.6YPR), 4 PR for 47 yards (11.75 YPR) w/4 FC
Unfortunately some of these guys cut today will be living in a…Farley is a good way to stop me dead in my tracks. Might have to go watch Dirty Work and wait for some waiver claim news that probably won't come until tomorrow if at all.
Thanks. Momentary brain drainNot in game he's dealing with blood clots
Thanks for the suggestion. Never thought of thisTyping "Barmore" in a Google search box is less taxing than your plea for others to solve your mysteries
On Hill, I agree we need DT depth. I meant cut him to accommodate a waiver claim for a better option at that spot. DT (Hill), TE (Bell), RB (Hasty) are spots where I don't think we kept any extra players, but the guys I named could be cut to make room for a waiver claim to replace them. But then yeah, there are other spots (mainly WR) I could see us cutting someone else to make room for an extra person at those spots, so not needing to cut the incumbent.Pats have the fewest number of RBs on the roster that I can remember at 3..
Boutte is likely to get cut tomorrow so they can add somewhere else. Reagor is extraneous and shouldn't have been kept over Wallis.. But I guess the stats don't tell everything
Probably be cut tomorrow with Boutte after the Pats put in a claim one a more experienced TE.
With the issues at LT, Anderson going back on Season-ending IR, and the lack of depth I would expect another OL or two.. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan or Leverett cut..
I'd be very surprised to see Hill cut considering the lack of depth at DT.
Pats have 11 DBs.. You're say Dial is 7 says you're counting Bolden as a CB and not as a Safety.. He goes between both spots. 11 DBs is about typical.. I'd be surprised if they cut Dial unless they found someone who they think is better than Austin or Jon Jones for the outside spot.
I don’t think we have enough receivers we need more
I have Schooler as a ST Ace on my roster page. But yeah.. He's there also.On Hill, I agree we need DT depth. I meant cut him to accommodate a waiver claim for a better option at that spot. DT (Hill), TE (Bell), RB (Hasty) are spots where I don't think we kept any extra players, but the guys I named could be cut to make room for a waiver claim to replace them. But then yeah, there are other spots (mainly WR) I could see us cutting someone else to make room for an extra person at those spots, so not needing to cut the incumbent.
Fair point on Dial and looking at S cumulatively. I think your numbers left off Schooler though. So I have us at 12 players at DB, but could count Schooler as a "specialist" too. It all has to come out of the same 53 man roster though, so spots are somewhat intertwined. Ultimately, I just think Dial might be among the last guys on the roster and if they want to add someone at another spot someone has to go from a different spot.
We have a lot of OL injuries and still trying to find what works... I could easily see us going up to 10 OL from the 9 we kept. TE is a big part of this offense and with Henry's injury history, we could maybe end up with 4 if we claim someone and don't waive Bell. You mentioned how light we are at RB. We have 14 front 7 players and could, IMO, fit another. With 7 WRs that seems the likely spot to thin out from the initial roster but CB/DB seems like second on the list otherwise if we need to re-allocate roster spots like that.
c'monEspecially with the top guy in the pecking order, Bourne, also coming back after a few weeks. That makes 8.
Agree on Thornton and Reagor….Boutte showed a lot more this preseason and we all know Thornton will either get injured or disappear again like every year he has been here. The other thing I hear everybody talking about is how he’s the only one with the speed to stretch the field… The problem is our offensive line gives our quarterback 1 millisecond to get rid of the ball before they get hit or sacked. No kidding… I would’ve cut Reagor & BoneyT; they almost certainly would’ve cleared waivers and become eligible for the PS, but if they didn’t? No big loss in either case.
Besides those two, I also would’ve ****-canned Leverett Saltonstall, Little Jerry Pharma, Eukalele the ‘Roid Cheat, whichever Elliss the LB we have, and ESPECIALLY Bolden & the ****ing HORRIBLE Dell Pettus… Thise last two in particular are Straight Trash, homies.
What a sad ****ing Joke of an organization this has become PB (post Brady).
Quick reaction. And the roster is not finished.
But with all the draft capital and cap space, this roster doesn't look appreciably better.
Comparing the roster right now to opening day. Some "gains" came late last season, but were not on the opening day squad.
DL
Gained Hill, Pharms, Ximines.
Lost Barmore to NFI, Guy, Judon, Roberts (Flowers started on PUP 23)
Massive downgrade.
LB
Gained Elliss
Lost Wilson
eh. Didn't see a lot of "we got Elliss" threads.
You're forgetting that they lost Gonzalez for the 13 games, so having him for a full season should be an Upgrade.DB
Gained Austin, Wilson, Dial, Hawkins, Bolden (IR 23), Pettus
Lost Jack Jones/JC Jackson, Bryant, Mills, Phillips, Speed
Maybe a slight upgrade? Little bit?
Losing Slater and Davis is big. Whomever is lining up at the other Gunner position opposite Schooler will have their work cut out for them.ST
Gained Joey Slye
Lost Matthew Slater, Chad Ryland, Chris Board, Cody Davis (started PUP 23)
You lost me at "lost Slater." Massive downgrade.
Very interested to see where the snaps go after Pop & Polk.Wow so the Pats really carry 7 WRs? Lol
Isn't Hasty the personal protector this year? or is it Elliss?Judon was basically a non-factor last year.
Flowers did nothing last year.
Roberts was nothing.
Guy is probably the most important loss. Pharms, Hill and White will have to step up.
We don't know what Ximenes will do, but he supposed had the 3rd best speed off the edge this preseason.
It's a downgrade, but remember that Pharms and White stepped up last year as well. So did Jennings..
Elliss was on the team last year. They got McMillan back. They'd have TakiTaki as well, but he's starting on PUP.
Hopefully McMillan can stay healthy, but we'll see.
You're forgetting that they lost Gonzalez for the 13 games, so having him for a full season should be an Upgrade.
You're also forgetting that they were without Marcus Jones for most of the season. His being back should be an upgrade on the defense as well.
Jack Jones only played 5 games for the Pats. So he won't be missed.
Losing Slater and Davis is big. Whomever is lining up at the other Gunner position opposite Schooler will have their work cut out for them.
I don't remember who lined up as the Personal Protector last year.
Agreed otherwise.
Perhaps the days of the Foxboro flu are behind us...I can't remember exactly, but I THINK Ameer Speed (7th round) didn't make it, and Bolden was put on IR in camp. So close, a lot of guys did make it, but not the whole class.
The coaches disagree they all feel Thornton had a better spring and summer than Boutte.Agree on Thornton and Reagor….Boutte showed a lot more this preseason and we all know Thornton will either get injured or disappear again like every year he has been here. The other thing I hear everybody talking about is how he’s the only one with the speed to stretch the field… The problem is our offensive line gives our quarterback 1 millisecond to get rid of the ball before they get hit or sacked.
