Patriots Player Departure OFFICIAL 2024 Patriots Roster Cutdown Day Discussion

Refresh my memory, why is Barmore on NFI and not IR? I thought he was injured in a game

Guys that should be watching out for claims taking their job, IMO:

RB Hasty - borderline roster player and 3rd RB is fairly relevant depth position. Could be a decent chance someone came to camp with a surplus at that spot and cut someone that's younger than Hasty with more upside.

Pats have the fewest number of RBs on the roster that I can remember at 3..
WR Boutte or Reagor - not that we'd specifically claim another WR, but 7 is a lot of bodies at this spot and depending on who they claim could be an opportunity to re-distribute the depth. Boutte would be a PS candidate

Boutte is likely to get cut tomorrow so they can add somewhere else. Reagor is extraneous and shouldn't have been kept over Wallis.. But I guess the stats don't tell everything

TE Bell - he'd be a good PS guy to develop, but might be an opportunity for someone better at the active roster level right now.

Probably be cut tomorrow with Boutte after the Pats put in a claim one a more experienced TE.
OL Jordan - he's the last guy on the list and we could really use a more natural snapping option and another LT body to throw in the competition makes sense too. I could see us keeping a 10th OL with the corresponding cut coming at another spot, but Jordan is the last guy on the depth chart here. He'd be a PS candidate.

With the issues at LT, Anderson going back on Season-ending IR, and the lack of depth I would expect another OL or two.. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan or Leverett cut..
DL Hill - seems like a PS candidate and we could use a better option for snaps right away here.

I'd be very surprised to see Hill cut considering the lack of depth at DT.
CB Dial - 7 is a lot of guys to keep here. He could be the guy they cut to make room at another spot.

Pats have 11 DBs.. You're say Dial is 7 says you're counting Bolden as a CB and not as a Safety.. He goes between both spots. 11 DBs is about typical.. I'd be surprised if they cut Dial unless they found someone who they think is better than Austin or Jon Jones for the outside spot.

Typing "Barmore" in a Google search box is less taxing than your plea for others to solve your mysteries

He looked much more explosive at returner in the games this year.

Reagor is what he is. Maybe a better choice for a team with playoff aspirations who would want less growing pains but i feel like this would have been a good situation to get an extended look at wallis

Reagor - 2 receptions for 10 yards on 4 targets & 15 snaps, 2 KR for 53 yards (26.5YPR), 2 PR for 13 yard (6.5YPR) w 2/FC

Wallis - 2 receptions for 16 yards on 6 targets & 38 snaps , 7 KR for 202 yards (28.6YPR), 4 PR for 47 yards (11.75 YPR) w/4 FC

I would say Barmore having a potential to return is the best thing we hear all day.

Unless he was 100% out for the season he was always going to get designated this way, I don't think it really says anything about the likelihood of his return.....just that it is not 0.

Imo the first rd pedigree goes out the door after 4 full ineffective years in the league . At this point we know what reagor is as a wr. Its a very minor gripe to have but just not a fan of the selection
I do agree for the most part that pedigree wears off quickly unless of course you start talking about potential and compare him to some division 3 kid.

I don’t think we have enough receivers we need more

No kidding… I would’ve cut Reagor & BoneyT; they almost certainly would’ve cleared waivers and become eligible for the PS, but if they didn’t? No big loss in either case.

Besides those two, I also would’ve ****-canned Leverett Saltonstall, Little Jerry Pharma, Eukalele the ‘Roid Cheat, whichever Elliss the LB we have, and ESPECIALLY Bolden & the ****ing HORRIBLE Dell Pettus… Thise last two in particular are Straight Trash, homies.

What a sad ****ing Joke of an organization this has become PB (post Brady).

Reagor is 2 years older and the Pedigree means nada since Reagor really hasn't done anything in 4 years.
He did enough in 4 years to show he's already the better returner

Chad Ryland was too easy to predict. He was the worst kicker in the NFL last season and couldn't beat out the competition in camp.

We've been lucky to have had so few K's in the last 20+ years.
