Not because he has "no experience"... I am sure nobody said that. This board is heavily on the side of not playing him.

Then why?Not because he has "no experience"... I am sure nobody said that.
I think it's because Maye who is still very raw when it comes to footwork and reading pro level defenses would be under siege because of a bad OL. I can see the logic of that. Josh Allen was raw like Maye and he wasn't going to play either, Nathan Peterman actually beat him in camp but Peterman got hurt so Allen stepped in, looked every bit as rough as predicted but obviously got a lot better. Then why?
That’s the same as saying he is inexperienced.I think it's because Maye who is still very raw when it comes to footwork and reading pro level defenses would be under siege because of a bad OL. I can see the logic of that. Josh Allen was raw like Maye and he wasn't going to play either, Nathan Peterman actually beat him in camp but Peterman got hurt so Allen stepped in, looked every bit as rough as predicted but obviously got a lot better.
Maybe that's the same path for Maye. We'll see. I don't think it's because "he has no experience"... I'm sure the Pats are playing rookies this year.
Yeah we will definitely miss his leadership. I'm not sold though on paying up in this scenario. Business.Any player any year can get injured.
By all accounts Judon has been a standout on defense in TC this year and has been a leader on the sidelines in the preseason game.
Why wouldn't you pay him when you already have the most cap space in the NFL?
He's not going to sit on the bench all year I'm sure he will be in there at some point. That’s the same as saying he is inexperienced.
How do you expect him to get better without playing?
I see Maye starting Game 5. By then, the OL should be stable. Maye needs the dozen games to make his rookie mistakes. He's not going to sit on the bench all year I'm sure he will be in there at some point.
Zappe isn’t an NFL qb (either)That is only your opinion. Once Zappe stepped in they didn't get better they got worse. So the 6 game improvement didn't and couldn't happen.
Regardless it's complete nonsense. And I know you were on the blame 10 bandwagon. 10 was a problem. Not THE problem. There's a difference. He's gone now so it doesn't matter anymore.
Imho, the Giants qualify, but that's a completely different discussion.I don’t think the Giants really qualify do you?
No one believes they won because if the QB.
Still those aren’t many examples and we are going back 20+ years and Peyton took 8 years before wining one so it’s hard to say a great plan is to suck draft high then you win a SB.
Get the # one pick , trade down , get 2 OT and 1 stud DE in draft next year and sign 2-3 marquee free agents on defensive side and we are back in business next year .I would’ve rather seen him go to a real contender. The 3rd rounder is a good deal because the Pats may land a big FA in 2025 cancelling out Judon. I believe ATL runs a 4-3, so that’s a pretty weird fit for him.
But boy, this defense is going to be really bad in 2025. Yikes! They are trying very hard for the number one overall pick next off-season.
I'm feeling a extremely optimistic at this very moment, but it could be like Ninkovich. Played with the Pats at the start of the season 5 months short of 26 having had 3 total solo tackles in 3 years. OX will be a couple of years older (3 months short of 28). Might just need a good teacher to get everything to click.Ximines lol.
You realize he is 28 years old failed with the giants and they thought so much of him he played 53 snaps last year and he has 2 sacks in the last 4 years, don’t you?
It's amazing how quickly the Chiefs turned it around after their 2-14 in 2012 (although the SB win would take 7 years, winning 2 playoff games in 6 years, because they still needed a HoF QB to get them over the hump), taking an OT #1 overall in the draft, getting Reid, trading for ASmith for a 2nd, then going 11-5 in 2013.Please name all the teams that went from awful to winning the Sb without building toward it in the last 20 years.
If the Pats were truly committed to a QB, then they wouldn't have gotten 2 of them in the last draft. You literally said building is a myth.
We committed to the qb why are we sitting out a season?
Why would they want to come here? They spend money. Stop with this. They were willing to pay Aiyuk and Ridley. They just didn't want to come here.
Really? Move J Jones huh. You do realize Marcus Jones has an injury history, along with Wade. You lose either one of those players and you’re screwed.I am extremely impressed with wolf getting a third for a declining player coming back from an injury.
I am hopeful wolf can get something for zappe as he needs to go next.
If any team needs a slot corner, then we should move j jones as well.
