'Patriots 2nd teamers attribute their rough moments on account of running with Drake Maye'

“Drake Maye has had rough moments, to be sure, but New England Patriots people attribute that to him running with the second team, and how the team’s offensive line depth issue has really shown up with that group. What’s impressed his coaches most is how good of a processor he is on the field—he can go, in his progression, from one to two to three fast, and even threw a touchdown pass to his fourth read in red-zone drills the other day. He sees things right away, and his footwork has come a long way, too.”

I'm glad they used "impressed" and not "surprised" because that is all over his tape in college last year.
In year 1 he was more likely to take off after the first read not being there.
Last year he almost never did that. He works on things and gets better at them.
In college He saw the whole field in a way that was at a level few ever reach.

To put the problems with the 2nd team OL in a positive light, it has produced the exact scenarios that Maye needs to work on in practice. Forcing him make quick reads without the beating that comes with those situations in a live game.

Hahaha... that's definitely putting a positive spin on it. Bravo!

The QBs were trash regardless. Plenty of QBs have played in a bad situation then turned it around later. Steve Young, Brett Favre and Drew Brees are 3 HOF QBs that were "broken" by their initial franchise.
Only here can you find people arguing good players were good and bad players were bad because of decisions when to okay them rather than their ability. The same people who watched the mist mentally tough qb to ever play the game, would have you think he would hide in the corner shaking if they played him as a rookie.

You're wrong. Ernie says so. Thanks for playing.

To be Honest, I didn't even KNOW that anybody tracked training camp stats until now.

But for what its worth, Drake Maye is ranked as the #2 rated rookie QB according to this stats tracker.

lol…this is such horsecrap. What are they basing their “stats” on? Reporters tally of attempts vs completions? That would be best case scenario, and even that is garbage. Most likely they just pulled these rankings out of their a**

It is confirmed that Drake has had a rough camp when the press feels the need to start telling us all of Drake's positive attributes.

Drake is passing against the 2nd team defense?

When you have no time to throw, it doesn’t matter against which defense you play.

The Drake have made throws in Practice Biscuit can't nuff said!

Who's the Rookie QB he's behind??

This ^

Player grades... in camp.... garbage.

Probably Caleb I guess.
And look who Caleb have at his disposal @ WR: D.J. Moore - Rome Odunze and K Allen. Yeah Very Good WR's don't make Young QB's better.

What does Williams have for OL, better or worse than Maye has?

How good is the D Williams is facing, compared to the one Maye is facing?

Yeah must be entirely the WR quality that’s making the difference.
