Facial recognition for everyone at Gillette?

"Opt in" for now

1984 what? Cmon all these data points they're farming are dollars these already rich companies need more of....without paying us of course..

This will end well. At least, it will cause a lot problems for the Bills fans who break their faces jumping through tables.

What's the point? Other than to try and institute the asinine "GOOD CITIZEN" garbage or whatever they call it over in CHINA..
Just another reason to go to a Bar and watch the game, paying only $5/beer and having half-decent food. Or just staying home and watching it on YoutubeTV

Wait, why didn't I know about the rampant use of counterfeit credentials by fraudsters accessing the locker rooms, the playing field and OH MY GOD, the Press Box.

Why hasn't the media told us the story about Joe 6 Pack waltzing in and stealing the press' story ideas on open laptops?

This is a National crisis which can only be met by the Totalitarian Genius, Herr Goodell. He will protect the media and make money doing it. No more fans walking into locker rooms to try and steal the players' food or lick the sweat off those sweet leather recliners. Only Goodell can stop the Nationwide Panic occurring in 32 venues across the US (and lesser venues occasionally in England, Germany, and Mexico).

Imaging the money this company will make selling your facial image and ID to everyone!! Will they use this against season ticket holders who sell their tickets? Of course, they will use the images to identify anyone acting out at the game.

Will this lead to banning of people from venues? Remember the Mom who was banned from her daughter's girl scout trip to Radio City because she works for a law firm suing MSG?

This could happen to anyone. God help you if you participated in the Pro Palestine protests, I do not envy your ability to ever enter Gillette again!

The book 1984, much like the movie Idiocracy, are looking more and more like harbingers of the future, instead of works of fiction!

Young people don't seem to care as much about this kind of thing as us seniors.

Isn't using facial recognition the same claim that's been made against Tik Tok?

IMO, they are just telling us about it now, likely been using it for a bit.

Brian McCarthy clarified/or I guess denied these reports. He claims the plan for 2024 is strictly for media members, working personnel, etc., says it "doesn't apply to or affect fans."

What's funny about this is Dov Kleiman posted about it on X yesterday and that was McCarthy's reply, which led to Kleiman deleting his tweet about the technology potentially being used this year. Feels like maybe either the NFL isn't pleased the news came out, or that it will actually be used like McCarthy suggests. I'd have to guess it's the former, because it sounds like it's already being implemented at various stadiums based on the two articles.
