Where do you expect our Offense to stand in 2024?

IMO, even #23-#27 would be a major improvement over last year, and would likely result in 6-8 wins.

IMO, even being in 13-17 by next year would have us a contender for the playoffs.

So many variables. I haven't looked in depth at who Jacoby played with and whether or not he's in a better situation here than he was elsewhere. They're essentially naming him the starter and catering to him, so he's certainly in a good spot from that standpoint. As we know, the offensive line is a question mark, but if Okorafor turns out to be serviceable and Wallace settles in, they've got good interior linemen. So I'd like to think they'll be able to run the ball and keep defenses off balance.

Factor in a good year by Stevenson and whoever steps up at RB, Henry, along with Douglas, Bourne, and Polk, as well as with whichever other guy emerges, and they could surprise some people. That stat about Brissett's ball security (I'll have to dig it back out, but he was among the leaders with Aaron Rodgers) is also pretty solid. So I'm kind of thinking that should hopefully mean they'll be pretty good.

I know the expectations are low, but being able to move the ball and put up points would clearly be a massive upgrade from the mess we saw last season. Add in Slye unseating Ryland and them being able to hit field goals on the regular, and that might put them middle of the pack points-wise.

I think the offense will be surprisingly good, if the OL comes together at all. And I think they will outperform expectations which should be easy as low as expectations are. Thing about OL is we’ve been told a lot that it’s the stability and how they play together that matters, and right now there’s no way to judge or predict that. All we can go on is individual player evaluations, and we’re doing that almost blind. So we’ve got to wait and see. Right now we’re focused on it being a dumpster fire disaster, because it’s our dumpster and our disaster. When the season plays out I expect it won’t be as bad as we think, and we may end up with our OL being closer to average than to disaster. If that is how it goes the rest of the offense will be good enough to do their jobs, and we will surprise most of the pundits. Couple that will the defense we expect to see and hopes for a high draft position next year are likely disappointed.

On paper, I would say bottom 5. But in any given year, a couple of QBs will get hurt, and some team will have a surprise train-wreck season, so I wouldn't shock me if we finished around 25th.

My feeling is that being 23-27 this year is a great step forward to being a top 20 in 2025, competing for a playoff spot.

IMO, if those who think that we will be 13-17 are right, then we will win 9-11 games.

That's what I like most in a QB and it's why I never cared much for Favre.

#13-17... I mean upgrading the QB position, elite, deep, healthy defense. Overhaul on offense. Go figure in 2022 we had 8 wins... I'm thinking 8 or better.

I picked the option I’d wager $1000 on: bottom of the barrel. Without further evidence, there’s no reason to believe they are any better given all the personnel, scheme and coaching changes. You can hope they will be better (and I do), but that’s not thinking, that’s wishful thinking.

Every NFL team has a question mark or two heading into training camp. My issue with the 2024 New England Patriot offense is the vast number of question marks. And that's before considering that injuries are an inevitable reality in the National Football League.

Yes, there may be some pleasant surprises. But the margin for error is slim on this offense. What if the performance at left tackle leaves us yearning for Trent Brown? What if Hunter Henry and/or Rhamondre Stevenson miss long stretches due to unforeseen injuries?


My expectations are low because the margin of error for success on this unit is so slim. Far too many 'ifs'. I'm just looking for progress over the course of the season and the offense being competitive, with relatively few dumb turnovers.

If Maye looks amazing and wins the starting job, if they sign a real left tackle like Donovan Smith and he’s healthy, if Caeden Wallace wins the right tackle job outright… wouldn’t we all feel better about the offense? Too early to tell…

I would want us to get the number 1 pick next year and with most of our losses being less than one score .

All our rookie wide receivers getting game time experience and maturity.

Maye playing out the last 8 games with a season of 2000 yards 13 TD/ 5 INT and
Polk and Baker registering more than 400 yards / 2 TD each while Douglas hitting 1000 yard / 6 TD.

As for defense I would want them to be top 5 defense with gonzo , barmore and white having career years.

And then we trade number 1 next year for a major haul and get the OT of future and all other defense cornerstones .
