In other words, they were absolved by the commissioner of "cheating" in the Jets game. Still with me here? Please tell us where and when Goodell accused BB of "cheating." The fact is, he didn't. And he couldn't, because BB explained to him how he interpreted the league rule governing taping from the sidelines.

Read this slowly, so it sinks in: BB misinterpreted a league rule. His misinterpretation -- not wanton "cheating" -- was at odds with Goodell's interpretation. It was a legitimate difference of opinion over what the rule stated. So, bowing to public anti-BB, anti-Patriots pressure, Goodell fined BB and the Patriots FOR VIOLATING A LEAGUE RULE BY MISINTERPRETATION, not for "cheating."

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH "COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE!"

We broke a rule that has NOTHING to do with cheating or stealing signals. It just happened that we broke this rule to steal signals. AGAIN, its not the stealing that is the problem, its the method of stealing that is.

The rule prohibiting video camera's from the sidelines has NOTHING to do with cheating to gain a competitive advantage. You stated that it was created for that reason. Sorry, but that is just wrong. Go look it up buddy. If your going to argue, do you research and check your facts.

And again, as I have said before, video taping signals is common practice. MANY teams were doing it prior to "spygate".

The reason this happened is because:
A. Its common practice
B. He didn't think Mangini would be scum and turn him in
C. He didn't think breaking a little procedural rule was such a big deal; it was common practice.
D. He wasn't cheating. Signal stealing is fine.

A. No it isn't, not the way he did it. Prove it.
