Pre-draft testing numbers are not the be-all end-all you think they are.
I think Wallace is as legit a prospect as Paul, Rosengarten, Fischer, Sumataia.
comes down to scheme fit, takes to coaching and hard work.
to sit here today and say who is better is simply a false narrative
why not?NOT at LEFT Tackle.
He's an older prospect who's never played the position. Age matters for a number of reasons but muscle memory is a killer when it comes to this stuff.why not?
some thought he had better technique and fundamentals that Fahsanu. He's an older prospect who's never played the position. Age matters for a number of reasons but muscle memory is a killer when it comes to this stuff.
For the most part pass pro was average to below average Never really used independent hands and you can see his punches coming.
Recovery is something all scouts look for evaluating tackles. You're facing a better athlete across from you every snap, every Sunday. So foot quickness is crucial. Wallace routinely ovecommitted and opened up too early to meet speed rushers bc his recovery wasn't good. If he wasn't at his mark immediately he didn't have the ability to recover bc the quickness wasn't there.
Had a lot of help from backs esp on inside rushes.
That's not a glowing profile of a lt. He's the most polarizing pick we drafted this year. It'll be interesting to see what happens bc lt has the potential to be a **** show.
We better pray this draft works out because we haven't picked that high in two decades. Top of every round and we really didn't get the premium guys at those spots. Polk, Wallace and Layden Robinson. He's an older prospect who's never played the position. Age matters for a number of reasons but muscle memory is a killer when it comes to this stuff.

I believe the quote was that Onwenu will not be playing left tackle.I thought I read yesterday that Mayo or AVP said Onwenu will not be playing RT. IMO that means Wallace most likely will be. IMO that means Chuk or Anderson will be starting at LT.
Oh. That’s wacky…who would even ask that question.I believe the quote was that Onwenu will not be playing left tackle.
Or maybe Wheatley or Lowe is in the mix?I thought I read yesterday that Mayo or AVP said Onwenu will not be playing RT. IMO that means Wallace most likely will be. IMO that means Chuk or Anderson will be starting at LT.
Not a single person in the media saw BB's contract, not a single one of them could even definitively tell us how much he got paid.it has been fairly well documented by numerous outlets that the wording in Bill's contract was that he had total control over all football decisions. if that was violated, Bill was a free agent if he so chose.
I do agree, RK did say "listen to your scouts" but the final decisions, over everything, was with one person. Bill.
Lowe should be cut yesterday, he's terrible.Or maybe Wheatley or Lowe is in the mix?
He also said "should find should find work as a backup with the potential to start as a guard or tackle"some th

good size. very good strength. hard worker.
This is also from Lance.per Lance Zierlein
- displays tenacious effort to stay connected to his blocks.
- Body control and radar to climb, find and land on linebackers.
- Fits up blocks with proper base and hand placement.
- Pass sets with good posture and proper weight distribution.
- Lands on rusher with full arm extension to separate and feel the rush.
- Does a nice job recognizing twists and sliding feet with inside moves.
Is there a reasonable chance the Wallace is the starter this year at RT, if Sow moves to LG?He's an older prospect who's never played the position. Age matters for a number of reasons but muscle memory is a killer when it comes to this stuff.

...I'm not trying to hate on the pick. It just didn't make sense to me. You have a G/swing tackle profile which is about on the 4th tier of OL after tackle, right tackle and lg. Considering all the resources we spent on IOL and we have big Mike at RT. That's not how I would have spent 68 but I'm hoping to be surprised...

It would seem that one issue is who would be the best starter: Wallace, Robinson, Leverett or Mafi? Of course, the bonus is the with Wallace at RT, we can move Onwenu to RG. It would seem that if Wallace is the best talent of the four, and if he id ready to start, this would make an improved right side.
Yes, reasonable is a good way to put it.Is there a reasonable chance the Wallace is the starter this year at RT, if Sow moves to LG?
An Onwenu/Wallace RT side is intriguing. Not the prototype you'd think AVP would want but intriguingIt would seem that one issue is who would be the best starter: Wallace, Robinson, Leverett or Mafi?
