It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I want the heads of Aaron Rodgers, Tua and Josh Allen delivered to me on a silver platter from Keion White.Negativity is the sedative many consume to protect themselves from the sting of disappointment. Instead of just dealing with it when it occurs, they would rather live with disappointment daily in smaller dosages. GO PATS!!!!
That's hardly any experience at all.I think he should start 2-3 games the end of the season so he can learn for next year.
We are literally a starting caliber LT (and some rookie QB development) away from competing for the division.
Bourne, Osborn, Douglas, Polk, Baker, Henry, Hooper is a better group than being credited for. With better line play (still in the works) and a QB who can actually attack all parts of the field, this is a group that opposing LBs/DBs will have to be very deep and talented to stop.
The lack of a #1 WR was brutal last year because OL did not provide time for our 2s/3s to get open, and MJ's lack of arm talent meant DBs didn't have to worry about all parts of the field (sideline, deep). Sure he could occasionally float one between the CB and safety, but not with any consistency. When Maye takes over, that will be a completely different story, especially if/when we bolster the OL.
If we can manage to also find a #1WR, great, if not at worst, we will be back to being a legitimate NFL offense early in Maye's career and as he develops, literally the sky is the limit.
The new staff just needs to handle this situation somewhat decently, and after what should be another good draft position next year, we will be in very good position to be back in the playoffs where we belong. LFG.
I think that this is the key. We are seeing what we have, rather than committing more money this year. After the season, we will understand our needs better, especially on the OL.There are plenty of other questions, but those are the most important questions they have to answer. And they will determine their approach to next year’s free agency and Draft.
I just want him to get the experience…I don’t care about the outcome in those games as long as he learns from it and doesn’t get decapitated. That's hardly any experience at all.
The Pats schedule typically ends with consecutive division opponents. Miami and NYJ could rest starters for the post season so Maye would not square off vs the # 1 players on their depth charts.
Rolling with Brisset is throwing in the towel for 2024. He has never had a winning season.
Indy - 11 - 19
Cleveland - 4 - 7
Miami - 2 - 3
NE - 1 - 1
There will be calls in the bleachers for Johnathan to replace his senile Poppa Bob.
Here's what this PatshomoHomer wants to see
We find another capable RB
My man Bisquick starts as a capable QB giving time for Maye to develop during the season
D plays hard under Mayo winning some early games
Post break, Maye gets to start because he's earned it with help from Jacoby
OL has developed a coordinated culture by that time
Coaches develop a gem or 2 among the wideouts
We beat the Fish, Jete twice & Buffalo
We are in the race in December and finish hard
One way or another, this is a learning year for Maye. Improving his mechanics and learning how to prepare for teams week after week are things that he can work on without seeing live action. There is another level of learning that can only occur playing in games. The key being not falling back to bad habits and using good mechanics when under pressure. Realistically, it would be good for Maye to stay on the bench long enough to give him time for what he is learning to become instinct. Getting him in this year to learn when the outcome of the game means less vs next year when the team needs to start winning on a more consistent basis.I just want him to get the experience…I don’t care about the outcome in those games as long as he learns from it and doesn’t get decapitated.
He's not going to play until the OL proves it can protect Jacoby with consistency. I wouldn't be surprised to see Maye as the 3rd stringer, just for that reason: better to send Zappe out as cannon fodder. Only one of O'Rourke and Wilson makes the practice squad. The question is does Maye start this season?
Not necessarily opening day, but several games in because to me the passing offense is the key that unlocks this offense.
I'm not. He looks lead footed on college tape. He's going to look glacial in the NFL.I'm all in on Baker.
I’ve been a fan since the early Bledsoe years and last year was the first time where it was to the point of being unwatchable. This was probably why Bob pulled the plug on Bill. Having to look at their current uniforms makes it even worse.Last year’s team was unwatchable. I don’t expect the same this season. There will be something to look forward to every Sunday.
Just give thanks that you missed out on sundry Pats pathetic performances since 1960. Watching developed character those decades.I’ve been a fan since the early Bledsoe years and last year was the first time where it was to the point of being unwatchable. This was a quick turnaround of the team at least getting a QB and an attempt to improve the team.
