Remember way back when after BB left we were wondering who BK would bring as the next general manager? Instead of bringing in an experienced GM to make key decisions he decided to do it by committee. Wolf is and has been a talent scout, he has no experience being a GM someone that not only chooses the players in the draft but free agency, and swinging trades, especially on draft day. What is going on with the FO is an experiment. I think he may a little gun shy when it comes to moving around the board.

Agreed. Not impressive at this point. Also explains why he interviewed for multiple GM positions and was never chosen.

Makes me think of all the comments here when BB traded out of a prime draft slot because he was thinking like a GM and not like a talent scout.
I didn't have a problem with most of his trades the Cole Strange trade was an exception.

I didn't he had interviewed for gm positions with other teams. A good many posters here were expecting the pats to go after Adam Peters who went to the commanders, but i don't think BK even gave him or anyone else an interview.

He isn't the GM yet.

I suspect it will happen after the draft.

But either way this is a collaboration so if he's a better scout than trader then they should be leaning on someone else for that aspect.

I love this draft,
We don’t have a stud stud wr but we would of had to get back in the first for it.
Two considerations were Mcconkey and Mitchell in the second.
But we are building the offensive line we drafted two WRs who specialize in the deep ball. We drafted the best QB in this draft in my opinion and we brought back almost our entire defense. What’s not to love?

Outside of Maye and returnee free agents... where is the talent?

Osborne is a damn good signing. As is Antonio Gibson. Okorafor was someone I hoped for because he was better than anything we had at RT. Yes, that includes Onwenu. Okorafor's signing allows Onwenu to go to his best position. RG. It will kick Sow over to LG in all likelihood, which is good because that was his College position.

I understood the rest of the moves made in signing Watts and Leverett and the others as well.

Personally, Wolf's moves are headscratchers. He had a BIG say in each of the last 3 drafts. Including drafting Thornton, who isn't even 24 yet and has been dealt a s**t hand which people seem ok with in regards to Jones but then go dumb with the other positions.

You HAVE to question their "grading" if they're putting Ja'Lynn Polk over the likes of Cooper Dejean.

As for adding Robinson, that's another headscratcher. Especially when the team has so much already on the interior and at OT. Robinson would have to put on 15-20 lbs before he could play OT and you'd have to hope he wouldn't lose any quickness. Especially since he's never played the position. He's also never been a Center. So if that's where you're looking to put him, that means he's a 2-3 year project. Not something you spend a 4th round pick on when you have other needs like CB, Safety, IDL and TE.

I sympathize with the point of view that we're last in our division so we probably should have taken more risks, but I'm more willing to give things time to play out rather than go hard into Felger mode like more than a few here are.

Thinking as a GM, we gotta keep in mind those defensive players that look good now aren't getting younger. Also, can we find a decent kicker in the 6th?

Yes, exactly this.

This is a draft and FA that appears more like a team that thinks they're a couple players away, rather than a team that needs to desperately add sheer talent.

My God you people need to chill the **** out. He drafted almost exclusively by need which was what he should have done and perhaps these guys really do pan out.

Dude can’t do anything right unless he 100% takes the consensus top of the big board player. Can we give the guy one season to see if his moves pay off before declaring him a failure?

Same defense which was very good.

Improved offense. Yes Brisset is absolutely better than Zappe and Mac and we have the QB of the future hopefully ready to step in down the road.

The OL doesn’t feel much improved but we’ll see. The receiver group has more potential with unknown but talented receivers being drafted. Pop and Osbourne will absolutely be better group than Parker and JuJu. How could they not be?

Team is better, how much better remains to be seen. If things smoothly I can see 6-7 wins which would be a step in the right direction.

I really don’t think the talent is that bad. Coaching is the big question mark to me. LT too. Everything else I feel okay about.

remember when most of us thought the reason there was no gm in name is because bb wanted it that way? i def. used to think that. now i'm not sure that's the case.

He was the defacto GM, along with being the coach, well him and Nike
