There's a lot of good/great players still out there in free agency.

There's still the draft.

Lock up your own free agents and build on top of it.

What they're doing so far is smart team building.

They still have to be smart going forward and draft well.
Team building is useless unless there's talent involved. Right now, there's a distinct lack of talent, and that hasn't been addressed in any meaningful way.

Onwenu, Jennings, Gibson, Uche and Duggar are hyper talented.

Brissett, Takitaki and Hooper only have "good" talent, but they're dependable players who do everything good... even if it's not great.

Draft talented players, that's been the Packers way... if that's what we're doing now.

I expect to see a lot of hyper athletic draft picks taken.

Onwenu and Dugger are hyper talented. Uche has shown flashes when he's been on the field, as has Jennings, but it's not consistent.

I did this earlier in the offseason, here is an updated depth chart with the scrubs crossed out and question marks in positions of need.

Currently they have 55 men on the roster and need to get to 90, this assuming Duggar sticks around:

OFFENSE (23)

?, Jacoby Brissett, Bailey Zappe, Nathan Rourke
LT (2) – ?, Calvin Anderson, Vederian Lowe,
LG (2) – Cole Strange, Michael Jordan

RG (2) – Sidy Sow, Antonio Mafi,
RT (3) – Michael Onwenu, Tyrone Wheatley, Andrew Stueber,
TE (2) – Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper,
RB (3) – Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, Kevin Harris,
BIG WR (1)?, Kendrick Bourne,
FAST WR (1) – Tyquan Thornton,
SLOT WR (2) – Demario Douglas, Juju Smith Schuster

DEFENSE (28)
DT (6) –
Christian Barmore, Davon Godchaux, Sam Roberts, Daniel Ekuale, Trysten Hill, ?, Armon Watts,

WLB (2) – Sione Takitaki, Joe Giles-Harris, ?
SS (3) –
Kyle Dugger, Jabrill Peppers, Marte Mapu,
FS (1) – ?, Ameer Speed,

SPECIAL TEAMS (4)
K (1) –
Chad Ryland, ?
P (1) –
Bryce Baringer,
LS (1) – Joe Cardona,
GUN (1) – Brenden Schooler,
That offense depth chart is absolutely worst in nfl terrible. Yes its early but come on! Just a nightmare.

Uche is talented for what he does, pass rusher.

Jennings looked like a starter last year once Judon went, down. He's always been behind a great player on the depth chart, his time is now.

You admit that are smarter than any of the oher posters on PatsFans. Whatever you say must be true because you repeatedly tell us how you know best and how smart you are. Must be great to be such an amazing person.
You sound upset. Just block me and move on.

Ian shared his thoughts in a recent article, bolding is mine:

So far, Wolf has shown all the signs that he’ll continue being aggressive. But he’s also shown he’s not going to be irresponsible. That part has likely required some restraint, especially since he’s faced with a daunting task when it comes to selling players on why they should come here.
In the meantime, he’s cleaned things up where the mess hasn’t gotten any bigger and things are now at the point where the path forward feels a little more positive.
This is a marathon, not a sprint. For those wishing the initial splash would have been larger, considering how things could have gone, they’ve at least accomplished enough where whoever they do end up with in the days to come will continue to be steps forward.
More importantly, while the names haven’t been ideal, they’re still moving with a sense of urgency, and they’re getting after it early in the process. With the important foundational pieces kept in place, that’s also why this team is certainly less of a disaster than how it looked just a few weeks ago.
Fortunately for Wolf, it’s also why each addition will be one step closer to a path toward getting back into contention. That’s something that didn’t feel possible a couple of months ago, and depending on how these next few weeks go, along with who they end up with next month in the draft, their outlook is already a lot brighter heading into 2024.

That's pretty much how I feel. We're watching a competent GM building out a solid roster. No real "splashes" but no real "wtf" moments either.

The off-season will be judged on the draft more so than FA, IMO.
