Mundane, or not, we have candidates reporting it was the worst interview process. That can't be good, can it?
Lol, this ^^^ guy.

"He was very sharp,” said the coach. “There were a lot of people in there (including Robyn Glaser, who didn’t ask any questions) and you could see a lot of note-taking going on, but Jerod was fully engaged. His questions were really good and he asked great follow-ups where you could tell he was engaged. He wasn’t just reading them off a piece of paper.
That really impressed me. That’s the type of thing that can indicate that he’s going to very good at game management on the fly. Seems to be a big-picture guy, but he knew what he was talking about. I think he’s going to do a good job.”

What? Bill is no longer with the team lol. Time to move on.
First I'll never move on I'll celebrate these 2 decades forever and all it's contributing members. Second When Mayo and Co start making moves I'll start talking about that. Hopefully someone important gets re-signed soon cause we all could use it and free agency can't come quick enough. Make it rain.

Nope not me. I can’t live in the past and say wow look what we did. You don’t build dynasties that way. I’m excited about the moves the team has made and I’m looking forward (not backwards) to see what they can do in 2024. Bill is no longer with the team.

You sound like Bill. I'll stick with being a fan and do both.

We still need the following coaches
WR
TE
KR/PR unless Troy stays and takes this position
and lots of assistant coaches

Personally, I also like to a passing game coordinator and a running game coordinator.

Interesting, considering how on the surface it looks like they’re intending to change the approach on offense. What would have happened if he did stay?

I definitely had an opportunity to stay,” O’Brien said. “I thought it was really important for Coach Mayo to hire his own staff. I came and worked for Bill Belichick, and I think it’s really important for Jerod to be able to hire his own staff. The Krafts were great about that, and I really appreciate that. And Ryan Day was awesome about offering me a job, so that’s why I made that decision.”

Bill O'Brien had opportunity to stay with Patriots, thought Jerod Mayo should hire own staff.

What else was he going to say? I was fired and after the year the offense had my career in the NFL was bleak so I clung to the lifeboat that Alabamas powerhouse team afforded me and took a job as a offensive coordinator bid mt time to grab a College HC gig and now I’m comfortable while I’m rebuilding my image after the disaster that I was equally a part of.

Actually, yes. Telling people you were offered to stay on but chose not to invites a response back from Kraft or Mayo saying no, that’s not true. Who looks bad then? if he was fired, his response to the interview question would have been, “Mayo wanted a clean slate and a new offensive system, so we decided it was best for us to part ways.” Nothing about him being offered to stay on.

BoB made the right decision by letting Mayo build his on staff. I'll give him kudos for that.
