lol this is not a real news site, and this piece doesn’t even make sense. They haven’t even interviewed anyone yet, so how can it be claimed that no one wants the job? The article even cites Wes Welker as being interviewed, even though the only place claiming that was a parody account.

Fake news.
If they couldn't get anyone to interview that would be one thing but they have interviews lined up.

The big question with Zac Robinson:

When the Rams had an OC opening a year ago, did he even get an interview? I can’t find anything saying so. They were seemingly content to bring in LaFleur even at the cost of losing Robinson. He did stick around for the 2023 season, but that wasn’t a given as LaFleur was hired while Robinson was still a candidate for remaining openings.

It was either Bill or Tom.

I know you're not gonna give the assistants the credit.

You've seen how they done on their own.
Either or?? Cannot digest that thought, they complimented & brought out the best in each other..
How would you know who I am gonna give credit to??
This has devolved into stupidity..

Because it doesn't matter who's responsible.

Does it?

Kraft fired them both.

There were reports we might be interested in Waldron.

Wasn't Kingsbury a candidate for OC in Chicago? Wonder if that signals a change in their draft strategy? If they pass on Williams and take MHjr, Drake Maye might be in play at the 3 spot.

Daniels or Maye... Interesting choices...

I guess that means Kingsbury is available. But TBH I don't want Kingsbury. He likes too much of a pass-heavy offense. And I think with New England weather he would be stymied by bad weather days. (Which makes it wild he wanted the Chicago job. Their weather is just as bad.)

Most see Zac Robinson as a better OC option, with Nick Caley as a 2nd tier...
But, Caley has much more experience as a coach (4yrs college / DB coach, 9 yrs NFL) and in a "total offense" capacity than Zac (5 yrs, asst. QB coach).
I'd say Caley is better positioned to be OC, and Zac would be a great Pass Game Coord + QB coach.
Only problem is that's what he's doing in LA, so likely wouldn't move for that.

I hope we give Sherrone Moore a call to fill the OL coach position. He's been the OL coach/OC at Michigan for several years. And their OL has been the best in CFB for several years. He even took over when Harbaugh was suspended this year. Before that he coached TEs and developed some very good ones. Back in the mid-late 2000's he played at Oklahoma (he was an OG).

He may be in line for a promotion to HC at Michigan or to follow Harbaugh to wherever he lands. But it won't hurt to give him a call.

I associate Kingsbury with the high speed/low drag Big 12 fun and sun on astroturf wild times. Might be fun in Foxboro for the first half of the season but late season weather would bog that right down. I'd still interview him, though, and see what he has to say about that.

He will be their next HC.

Maybe, but the title is accurate.....this wont be that desirable of a job.
It'll only be undesirable as long as they don't add to the talent base. Need a QB. Need a WR. Need a LT.

With that said solidifying all 3 positions for 2024 is a big, big stretch

Right, and as we'll have to hire a OC (and really an entire offensive staff) before we can fill any of those holes, it's currently an unattractive option.

Think about it this way, what exactly would draw an upcoming coach to this offense. At the moment there is no one to build an offense around.

I'd assume they'd have a say in which QB to draft and which WRs to go after. The big appeal is that if you're a WR coach or a TE coach, being an OC is one step closer to being a HC. It might not be the most attractive OC job out there, but it's an open one.
