I want Harbaugh but if that doesn't happen Orchids will do this....

HC- Mayo
GM-Wolf
OC- Josh
DC- BB Jr.
STs- Judge Dread
there is no way I would hire Josh McPredictable Daniels as the OC and let Judge or Achord stay at ST
this offense needs new blood from someone who has no history with the pats

Only read the first two pages but looks like the summary is exactly what I been telling y’all the last few weeks.

Bill the coach will be driving, someone else buying the car and painting it.

K thanks and good night.

John harbaugh
Hernan Edwards
Nagy

Are a few who come to mind. I’m sure there are more.
Harbaugh was ST coordinator. Def called plays and had to react.

In fact, some would pose that ST coord is harder to adjust to in-game than DC/OC because of the moving parts and personnel.

Edwards and Nagy sucked.

How would that work if that's done against Bill will? Or if he doesn't agree with GM's personnel moves? As coach he can just underutilize or torpedo the GM's players.
I made that same point in another thread. It's certainly a concern of mine. Even if Bill does it subconsciously.

From what I understand he was approached about being given the title and calling the plays but he declined himself on both. Not sure why but that's what Curran mentioned
I hadn’t read that…I thought he was offered CO-DC title which is functionally what he is now but Steve still calling plays.

Florio thinks this mornings press conference from Bill was him saying “I’m here until you tell me I’m not”. Florio thinks Bill isn’t gonna work out a trade or anything like that. If Kraft doesn’t want him, he’ll have to fire him. I agree with what Florio wrote. For Bill, it makes 0 sense getting traded. If the Pats don’t want him they can let him go.

I’m not a fan of the idea of Josh as HC at all…BUT I can absolutely see Kraft liking the idea.

I don’t think we’re gonna know anything for a while . They still have to meet and discuss and probably set a record for awkward moments

If you're responding to empty seats and think you need to make a change because of that, then be prepared for many more years of empty seats.

Because you're letting the passengers determine the direction of your ship.

You need to clear your mind and think of one thing only: how do we create a winner, a team capable of winning the Super Bowl?

Everything else should fall into place if you do it right.
Not necessarily. Empty seats don't make $$. It's when they are full that does. Know this Kraft is business man he wasn't pumping gas and the patriots fell into his lap. So don't be so eager so assume Empty seats don't mean much. This team not to long ago was basically on the move to Connecticut.

That's not how it works though.

As soon as Kraft hires a new coach, Belichick is free to go elsewhere. That's an NFL rule.

Plus, Kraft would be destroyed by the NFL national press if he did that.

He was already heavily criticized for even considering that possibility yesterday morning on the pregame shows. Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson and Rex Ryan were already all over that possibility.
What rule is that? I don't think that's the case. If I am wrong though please let me know.

My takeaway is that Bill does not necessarily want to leave and he is going to talk to Kraft about it today. They will probably talk several times and what happens is anyone's guess. Until then we should just go with the flow.

There's nothing more annoying than taking your time on this.

Does Kraft really need any time to pull the trigger after the last 16 weeks?

Meanwhile the redskins already hired new GMs.

I hadn’t read that…I thought he was offered CO-DC title which is functionally what he is now but Steve still calling plays.
He was. He insisted that it be a collaboration. He's by title LBs coach. He runs the meetings, sets game plans. SB calls the plays.

Taking this to the next logical conclusion, Bill's daring shows he either knows or has concluded that the Krafts are not going to fire him.

Otherwise IMO he'd be setting up for a graceful exit instead of "moving on to next season".
Kraft owes BB his full contract, so quitting is out of the question.

Belichick earned every dime.

Talk about contradicted.
John Lynch offered to trade for brady instead of jimmy g and bb told him he was insane. So your entire premise is wrong, based upon bs.

Kraft has publicly stated he made Brady contract decisions.

Kraft reasoning was that paying a qb that much of the cap prevents them from being competitive. HIS WORDS.

Belichichd paycheck has nothing to do with the cap.

Show me an article where a reporter reported that Kraft was pissed off at belichick because Kraft sided with belichick over Brady. Must be a lot if “most” say it. Or you made it up….

Kraft never publicly said he made Brady contract decisions. Kraft's public stance has always been that Belichick makes contract decisions and Kraft stays out of it. Even if Kraft did make those decisions, he would never publicly say it because it would undermine Belichick's authority.

And you are twisting what Kraft said. Kraft talked about how you can maximize your cap with a QB on his rookie deal because he is making a fraction of what even an average starting QB in his second contract makes. But Kraft would never get rid of Brady for cap related issues. He was basically saying that the Pats could afford to surround Mac Jones with top talent because he was on a rookie deal. And guess what? The Pats didn't do that.

And if Kraft was to veto a Brady deal, it wouldn't have been about the cap. Kraft doesn't manage the cap. He pays Belichick and other front office people to manage the cap. If he was ever to step in over a contract, it would be about the money not the cap. If Belichick felt he could manage a Brady $35 million a year salary against the cap, Kraft would never overrule him for that. That isn't his area of expertise.

And go listen to Bedard, Tom Curran, etc. They all say that Kraft is upset at Bill about how Brady left. Some do say it is more about how they let Brady walk for nothing.

It is a known fact that the Brady/Belichick relationship was fractured at the end. They at odds over a number of things from Alex Guererro to how the offensive personnel was being built. Belichick for several years had been talking about how Brady was getting too old. It was clear that Belichick, not Kraft was thinking short term about Brady.

I said if you're making decisions based on empty seats, you're going to have a lot more empty seats.

Forget the empty seats, clear your mind, figure out what to do to help the Patriots win a Super Bowl, because that short-sighted thinking ("Don't just stand there, do something!!") is sure to cause more empty seats.

I say blow it all up.
But I’ve always been a fan of Mcdaniels and his loyalty to the team can’t be understated.
I think he would work his ass off as HC or Ass HC.
Vrabel and or Mayo with Mcdaniels as Oc is most likely scenario.
Harbaugh, Ben Johnson, is not coming thru that door.

McD just showed he can't connect with younger skill players.

IMO that's why he was shown the door in LV and why it means he should not be re-hired here.

Yet as was just posted, I could easily see Krafty Bob deciding to do just that.

One wonders if McD's attendance at yesterday's game was purely circumstantial.

Game of Thrones, indeed!

I made that same point in another thread. It's certainly a concern of mine. Even if Bill does it subconsciously.
Every single coach in the league makes similar decisions. Why? Because they want to win. Every GM consults with his coach.

Except forn the Redskins with Snyder. They did whatever/

Living in Atlanta I’ll say this:

Atlanta fired Arthur Smith, and Bill is the name being MENTIONED EVERYWHERE down here that Blank wants.

I hope he calls Kraft on a burner and says “I’d give you a 2nd rd pick” and it gets worked out.

Bill needs to move on, Pats need new voice, AND Bill could make the Falcons better.
If they want him badly enough, I'd want a 2nd and a 4th this year, or a 2nd this year and next. (I'll let Blank choose).
