Patriots MUST lose their last 3 games

The only time I have ever felt sorry for him or any billionaire for that matter.

*Feeling sorry for his wife passing away does not count as that is just being human.
You didn’t feel sorry for Steve Jobs getting cancer and dying at a terribly young age?

Sorry for what?

He was probably looking down and thinking about taking one eye to the massage parlor.

If he tried modern medicine instead of holistic medicine, he might be here today. Same with one of the Beastie Boys.

I going with the only scientifically proven strategy that assures Patriot's Super Bowl wins: draft a QB in the 6th Round. In fact, trade all the picks for 6th Round picks in the next three years. Better than the opposite - the Trey Lance strategy.

This sounds about right

OT, there was zero chance Rodgers was ever going to play after that injury, such a bizarre charade he was putting on

Charade is how he's earning his contract. It is all about false hope to drive sales of tickets, tv ads, and merch.

Williams will go 1 to bears
Maye will go 2 to Cardinals

If pats are at 3 or 4, Daniels will probably be available.
Most draft gurus claim there is a drop off after Maye in qbs

We don't have to lose the last 3:
- we'll lose at Denver and at Buffalo, but will probably beat the Jets and end up 4-13
- AZ plays at Chicago this weekend. If the Cards win that game or the season finale vs Seattle, they also finish at 4-13
- WA plays the Jets this weekend. If the Commanders win, then both of them finish at 5-12

So if WA & AZ both win this weekend, and if our SOS advantage over AZ holds, then we stay at the #2 pick even if we beat the Jets. What's also nice is if they both win on Sunday, it clears up the uncertainty.

Everyone but Car, WA, & AZ already has 5 wins.

I don't see Carolina winning any more than 1 game if that, finishing with 2 or 3 wins, so they'll get the top pick barring a miracle, though the one unusual thing with them is they have zero incentive to tank.

Deep stuff. Food for thought.
If you create a culture that doesn’t make winning at all cost the priority, you will never win. Losing begets losing.

At this point in the season, winning only hurts your future.

I understand that you can't tell the players to go out and lose but yeah I'm not hoping for any more wins when the Patriots chances of making the playoffs have been mathematically eliminated already.

I hear you but this is a generational opportunity to be picking at near top of each round. Pick wisely and you are closer to long term winning. No guarantees as you point out but sometimes you have to lose in order to win.
Yup it's sad but true. Would the Celtics be where they are right now if they didn't have Tatum and Brown? Both of them were picked #3 overall in back to back drafts.

Fultz was picked #1. So you think we should pick at #3?

we're losing the next two no matter how hard we try. The only dilemma is the finale at home against the Jets. For that BB would have to hold players out who have a sore muscle, possibly including Zappe.

Daniels imo is a reach that high. He's like the guys in the 2021 draft. Fields/Mac and probably even Wilson were overhyped to hell and got drafted way ahead of where they should because of a combo of QB needy teams and the off season media hype. Which was probably a disservice to all of them because they ended up on bad teams that couldn't develop them remotely well.

Frankly I think Williams is far and away the best prospect in the draft and if we are absolutely INTENT on going QB, I'd rather spend some capital and trade up to get him even if costs anything than stay put and settle for drafting Daniels way too high. If Maye is there, you take him.

But assuming we are top 3 and it goes 1. Williams, 2. Maye...... the smart move to me is to just get MHJ and then pair him with a second round QB OR if you REALLY believe in Williams, make the ballsy play and make a trade up.

How does winning anything help anyone going

Agree for the most part. If pats are at 3 or 4 (likely now that we know Rogers is not playing), If possible would like to see them trade up to 1 or 2 and take Williams or Maye.

At 3 or 4 if both WRs are gone I would take one of the 2 franchise OTs.
