At the time I felt it was too conservative but then we got the interception and it did end keeping us in the game somewhat not that we were ever getting the 3 scores but it made it ten again and there was still enough time at that point.

Tom Curran saying that, and I'm paraphrasing, Belichick is managing these games and such a conservative way because he believes the defense gives the team a better chance to score than the offense. that is absolutely incredible and a mind-blowing. Belichick pick the players on offense, he picked the coordinator. he picked the offensive line. The offense is 100%. bill Belichick. And yet he feels that the best decision is to punt the ball away from around midfield, have the defense make a stop or get a turnover and score that way. This is absolutely out of this world in 2023.
I called out the same nonsense from this idiot coach in the 2019 season. when he played games and coached games trying to win on special teams instead of trying to win with Tom Brady. specifically against Kansas City and Tennessee in the playoffs when this complete buffoon went for punt blocks without punt returners trying to get a touchdown that way instead of trusting Tom Brady to drive 70 yards for a touchdown.

But the team is disciplined! (At least as many dumb penalties, bad situational plays, and missed assignments as anyone else.)

But the special teams! (Dead last in league, cost team playoffs in 2022 with TWO kickoff return touchdowns.)

But the team improves as the season goes on! (The opposite. Just as in Cleveland.)

But if he gets into the playoffs, he’s the difference maker! (47-17 loss, zero punts, maybe worst defensive performance in postseason history, or a close second to his Butler-less unit four years prior.)

Lol, Brady beat Kermit in a Superbowl. Brady kept Kermit out of a Superbowl and went on to win it. If @SHOWTIME15 lives to be 100 hell still be obsessed with Brady. I find it weird that he lurks here. Maybe he just basks that the Patriots are no longer a good team? Not sure, I don’t think he knows what its like to watch his team win 6 Superbowls and I think he’s finding out how hard it really is to do. He probably thought that Mahomes was the next Brady and the SB wins were going to pile up. Brady already made sure of that by beating him twice and taking away 2.

At this point it’s slim pickens for that opening round. Who can they beat? The Colts? Maybe Jville? They’ve just lost 2 in a row and beat one of the worst teams by 10 points. They’ve got work to do. Yawn.
