Does anyone realistically want this to happen? Zappe isn't the answer anyway

Winning 6 games this year would be a disaster. Just like winning 7 games in 2020.

We have a real shot for a top QB prospect. A 6-11 team is in no mans land.

And will be going into next year with no QB and no answers
Put Corky back in.

He will be happy out there with the guys.

Read what you just wrote...

Mac sucks, if we lost more games instead we could have had Zach Wilson, Justin Fields or Trey Lance.

Same result... no answers.

We should have kept seeing Zappe last year when he was 2-0 and while Mac was leading the entire NFL in interceptions.

Is he the answer, who knows, probably not. The majority of draft picks fail, so if I just said everybody sucks I'd be correct 70% of the time.

We shouldn't have to watch Mac, he does nothing but demoralize your team and he's painful to watch. This change has come way too late for this season, but a change was needed. Tanking doesn't work because you can't convince your players not to play hard, it's a terrible message to send to your locker room and even if you try you still aren't guaranteed the top overall pick.

If you're that desperate trade up, the 49ers did it and took Trey Lance... how'd that work out?

I’m good with giving him a shot at starting but I’m 99% sure that he sucks which will be good for our draft position.

Resigned to losing out.
This is a tough game.

Herbert just might go out there and play worse and that Chargers HC will do his part to try and deliver a NE win.

Hey buddy I was talking to a Patsfan asked him about the College QB's he does not like Williams or Maye. He really likes Nix and Penix.
Your friend knows his business. Penix or Nix is a good way to go. Too bad Penix has had the red flag of injuries for four years.

Irrelevant to his 2-9 football team.
His 2-9 team is part of his record as the greatest ever. That’s the point. Despite a bad season, he is still clearly the best ever, while you try to define him by it.
I you expect him to not only be the best ever but be infallible and never have a down period.
Your desire to cry has caused this.

We shouldn't have to watch Mac…and he's painful to watch.
Yes. I often think Wozzy and I could have a competition for our Corky Mac dislike.

I hate the player he’s become.

Putting aside Zappe’s performance, he’s a tremendously more pleasant player to watch play the QB position.

I don’t think I can recall watching a player as unpleasant as Mac Jones is to watch operate at QB; he’s anxious, jittery, seems to always make the wrong decision re: pocket movement, seems incapable of stepping up in the pocket or feeling an edge rush, has poor mechanics, lacks poise and confidence.

At least Zappe has some stones and courage, even if he ultimately also sucks at the end of the day.
I saw some of Geno Smith last night for the Seahawks. (what a cool story that he salvaged his career!) I was impressed by how well he stepped up in the pocket and avoided the rush, and that rush was coming! It is just soooo different than what we have been seeing with Mac. Agree on Zappe re: stones.

Do you think a team that starts 2-9 and unlikely to improve much on that ought to keep the status quo and not make changes?

Actually that's the real point.

I think that a team that is in a down period who has the greatest to ever do it running the show should recognize ups and downs happen and you keep the best people.
And yes every 2-9 team ever has improved.

Who said don’t make changes? With an adequate, not even average QB this team is at least 6-5. That’s not even debatable.
This is a rebuild. With rebuild you have change. There is 105,000,000 in cap space. Of course there will be change.

Everyone loses their fastball eventually. There's a reason why coaches in their 70's haven't won anything. BB hasn't drafted well in a while now and has had trouble adapting to the new faster NFL. Trying to use spit and duct tape on offense isn't going to to work. And then focusing solely on defense early in the draft when there are gaping holes on offense is a fireable offense for anyone. BB included. It's nonfesance or malfeasance. Take your pick.

We’ve had to watch him for too long, they should have cut bait on him last season. A younger more spry Belichick would have.
