Belichick’s Trade Value.

Bill and a 7th round pick for a 6th round pick…

If you don't do your homework, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

Sorry, had a couple.

This thread is right up there below the "Trade Brady" mega thread ....

Would you rather see Belichick get “let go” or a leave with a history-making self-trade to a far away team of his choice for draft picks? The latter is way more Belichick and a way cooler way for him to exit after the Brady run.

I think Bill taking a team to a Super Bowl title or even a conference title without Brady even if it's not the Patriots would do a lot more to enhance his legacy than limping and crawling to a wins record that most fans won't care about.

There’s now a lot of rumblings about a Belichick trade. Let’s use this thread so everyone who said it was the dumbest thread of all time feel sufficiently stupid for just being behind the curve as usual.

Nah because that thread was stupid and this one was just two weeks ahead of its time.

I'd ignore this thread but it's got to be one of the most ridiculous threads ever created in PatFans.com's long history (and that's saying something).
Yeah or maybe you’re just hopelessly wrong again like when you were dumping all over Brady before we won 3 more Superbowls with him.

No one is giving up anything for a coach in his 70's that's below .500 in the last 3+ seasons.
Not if they think he can push them over the Top. The problem with BB is that he got full of himself thinking he can just about Coach up any UDFA to outplay a First Rounder. I think BB finally understands He needs Talent to win in Todays NFL Chargers - Bears .

I really wish Ian would reopen the threads after the KC blowout in 2014. At least half of this board considered Brady to be toast, and wanted both he and Belichick gone. I would love to revisit those threads.

If there is a trade then Kraft owes it to the team to get as much as possible for Bill.

Then you don’t make a deal.
Then you're stuck with a failing GM/HC who's making top dollar.

There's no doubt in my mind that some team would love to have Bill but the question is will Kraft let him go? I'm not so sure that he would.

Brady was at 0.500 over 4 games. Bill is under 0.500 over 4 seasons. That's the difference.

Brady left to win. That Pats were in a ground-up rebuild after the Sanu-Gordon-AB flameouts. He also cemented his legacy by proving he could win without BB. He wisely went to a stacked team with two 1500+ yard receivers and a bunch of young and hungry 1st round picks that needed leadership and a QB who could make all the throws and NOT make 30+ interceptions.

If BB wants the record, he might have to seek other pastures. Without a proper NFL QB, it'll take him several years to get there and getting a proper NFL QB can take many years (and Mac ain't it). I don't see him leaving, but if a mutual decision was made, the target should be LA Chargers.

That team can't get over the hump, they've got the QB, and BB would turn that defense into something to be feared.

I could see that happening if his time in NE is done. Don't know what he'd fetch in a trade scenario, but he'd bring more to the Chargers than any mid-first-round pick (which is where they've been mired for years) would contribute, that's for sure. Despite what many here shout every other post, BB remains very top tier on the field.

Brady QB'd a team that was absolutely stacked with talent.

BB is coaching a team that is still a long way from even getting an NFL-level QB and needed a bottom-up rebuild.

If Arien's had come to New England when Brady landed in TB, his record would have been atrocious.

If BB had gone to Tampa and Brady remained in NE, what do you think their post-team up records might have been?

Go ahead, flip the 2 - Bill B goes to the Bucs, Ariens comes to New England in 2020. Tell me their expected records and SB chances in that scenario.

Absolutely agree. It's abundantly clear that there is going to be a mutually agreed parting of ways. Curran, perry, reiss and other respected journalists around the team all obliged. I believe that we got far more than what anyone could expect from BB.. to give us 20 plus seasons of success will never be replicated in any sports ever! I'm looking forward to how the new era patriots look for 2024.

Bill's 100% responsible for this team's lack of success on the field. Everything else is just conjecture.

I don’t see any reason to think that isn’t what the situation is. Kraft moved on from Brady for Belichick.
Brady moved on

Agreed. Look at this roster.. STs, bad WR contracts, the only good thing he did was extending judon. We have to watch another 2nd rounder WR bust standing on the sidelines each week in Thornton. Remember RK saying he gives BB the green light to spend..
