Rumor that BB is leaving at the end of the season

All this talk about Bill going where he wants to go and Kraft letting him go a la Brady… I find it very difficult to imagine what franchise would want Bill at this point.

That pains me to say as a former IBWT guy. This isn’t a Jete-ian dumpster fire, and it’s not Victor Kiam era, but it’s not good. I just don’t see a market for Bill.
Stop it Debby downer the Chargers could use him.

There'd be a huge market for Bill. Owners love spectacle. Fanbases can be delusional. Imagine telling your fans and the local media you just hired a 6 time Super Bowl winning coach. You'd get tons of praise.

Had he left when Brady left - yes. But these last few years are a big stain on his resume and has exposed him.

When he was drafted, he was brought in to be their every down RB. They quickly found out that he was not capable of that. Once he was limited to being a change of pace/3rd down back and the fumbling problem was gone, he was more effective.
Yep

From 1999-2001 (before he was the go-to 3rd down RB), KFaulk fumbled every 33 offensive touches

From 2002-2009 he fumbled every 61 times.

Losing to Humpty Dumpty Daboll would be a new low for BB.

Hopefully the fire BB kids too!

I think the Pats need all new blood. New GM, HC, QB.

I don’t think the Pats will be in a position to draft Williams, I’m not sold on him or any of the QBs In this draft. I would sign or trade for one, use that high pick on a stud LT or Harrison, Jr, and then load up on draft picks so they can make a move when the right QB is available in the draft.

2024 Great Draft for a QB.

Agreed. But it's all on RK now.. what will he actually do. He says he disappointed how the season has gone. So let's see if his actions this offseason will support his statements. BB to me looks checked out already.. you can see it's over. It's the end. We can quickly get back into becoming a contender with the right QB and pieces around him. I just look at CJ stroud, and what that stud has become for his team.

Wade played really well today though.
Wade-a- minute is serviceable in spots.. Wouldn’t expect much from him in a starting role. CB is another pressing area of need this off season. It's gonzo and then everyone else. Jack isn't long here, Jon has taken a step back, we need some quality veteran CBs.

Separating New England from the Jetes of the world is level-headed ownership. So whatever happens, I expect a good plan going into 2024.

What's difficult for me to understand is why BB wants all this aggravation when things obviously are not going well and haven't for a while. It's really, really hard work. He's 71, a first-ballot hall of famer -- why not retire and enjoy life? The wins record probably isn't achievable and that's OK. He gave it a good shot, nothing to be ashamed of. Finish the season and go out with your head held high as one of the greatest ever. He'd be crazy to take on another franchise reclamation project at his age.

BB would be good with a Team with a QB ie... Chargers.

Yeah an additional veteran add at outside CB was a glaring need before the year even started. Appreciate some of the efforts by multiple fringe roster guys having to take on a greater role this year at the position, but would hope changes are coming before next season.

I don't think he'd want to deal with the LA market/media. They wouldn't put up with any mumbling from him.

Also, people are forgetting they have a pretty good GM in Tom Telesco.
