Nah, you're not being objective at all. The bolded statement indicates you're being 100% emotional. You're clinging to the past, the dynasty years, when Belichick had the GOAT playing for him. You are discounting:
1. Brady is no longer here;
2. Belichick's age;
3. Changes in the league on offense & rules;
4. Belichick's recent performance as both GM and HC.
IOW, you're discounting facts, which means you're not being objective at all.
This is an emotional response. There's no critical thought in your statement.
You are 100% wrong.
Belichick has proven to be the greatest to ever do the job. That’s a fact. Every organization has a down period and no organization ever has recovered from the end of a dynasty in 3-4 years, much less after keeping it alive for 20.
From the starting point in 2020 and really 2021 because 2020 was affected by many opt outs and zero cap room, to expect being back on top now is not realistic.
Age has nothing to do with it, his duties are not affected by his age.
Rules changed before and during the dynasty and Belichick will go down in history as the ban ahead of change and the greatest adapter of all time. Age and “the game passes him by” age lazy fabricated ways to make a bad argument.
I am taking everything into account, assessing his ability in the totality and willing to accept that despite emotional positions like yours in a competitive league you cannot stay on top forever and even the greatest ever will have a time when results are not great.
When you have the greatest ever the worst response to adversity is to ignore the evidence and facts and get rid of the best man to lead you forward, you know, the one who built the greatest dynasty ever from scratch, at the time he is needed most.
But you would rather get a pound of flesh because the success belichick handed you as a fan has spoiled you.
You're emotionally clinging onto a romantic idealization of Belichick during the now defunct Patriots dynasty. You're showing emotions by being angry at any poster that dares to question Bill's recent performance based on his failure to adapt to current trends and realities in the modern NFL.
You are very bad at reading comprehension if you think I have ever gotten “mad” over an opinion. In fact I never get mad, I just call out BS, such as the guy who thinks a counter argument is testicle fondling.
There is zero emotion in my position. I know you think it helps your argument to pretend there is but that’s just another way you are wrong.
I root for the laundry. 100%. I have no emotional connection to a player or coach, and I don’t understand his anyone could have an emotional connection to someone they have never met.
The only thing I care about is the patriots winning, regardless of who is on the field or in the front office. Without question I appreciated Brady more than any patriot ever, but when he left, he was gone. And I was one of the few who didn’t rely on emotions and recognized at that point we aren’t winning more SBs before he retired so it was actually for the best. You emotional doom and gloomed are still crying about it as if him staying would have made a difference in real success.
It's ok to be a blind homer. Every team has them. You're a good fan. That doesn't mean your way of fandom is the only way of being a fan.
More emotional and angry reactions from you. Let's leave it here. We'll just agree to disagree. And of course, you can have the last word. Lol
It’s ok for you to be an angst ridden emotional entitled fan who thinks he had something to do with the success so he can tear the people who did and feel good about himself.
I get that it makes you feel better about yourself to identify someone who had more success than you could ever imagine having in your life and criticize him like you are smarter. You become a legend in your own mind.
But we both know you are kidding yourself.
That why when push comes to shove you post testified fondling.
And I know you feel threatened by me because I see through you.
