Kayshon Boutte

He blew past his CB running straight down the field, but then I saw him break free on a post from the slot position, and finally the play that he was held by Amik Robertson was a Slugo route, which he broke by shoving Robertson out of the way. He was gone.

You can deduce this from all of the 3 snaps he played?

Listen I'll take him over parker because he at least has upside. But so far he's looking like an oft injured bust.

Meanwhile Pickens looks like a stud in pitt

Thornton is doing his job. He looks good out there. The decision to go short all game was deliberate because of the wind

if all he can do is run in a straight line and is useless if he's not, then he is not looking good out there. thats considered a one trick pony.

he couldnt even beat Reagor in the rotation. basically he cant even play or get open anywhere else on the field. i've played this game so many times the last 10 years. Pats draft a receiver. they do nothing. then come all the posts "watch the all 22! (insert name of bust) is getting open we arent finding them!"

you can see with guys like Meyers or Douglas if they are good they will get open and get the ball.

I can understand all the WRs over N'Keal, but Pickens is a stud because he's allowed to be a diva over there, committing a blindside block and taunting penalties in just the last game. Even last year they designed a simple route to just get him a catch for the game because he was overly pouting. He'd probably be in the same spot as Boutte all the time with the Pats. It's probably why BB has a terrible record with higher picked WRs because he doesn't coddle rookie divas like Tomllin, who Big Ben says "tries to sweep it under the rug" with the AB's of the world.

This is absolutely wrong. I described several routes he ran

I was discussing the previous game with Pape

Pickens is irrelevant to this conversation

So you're certain?!

Because I see him getting open and our QB not being able to find the guy open downfield.

Douglas looks great, he's getting a lot of short and intermediate routes.

This is why I'm saying we don't know what we have yey.

Hoping for a barn burner downfield like many are on this thread when we don't even know if such a WR would be totally useless for us, it's an odd position to be in.

It's quite possible Tyquan does better playing with a guy who can hit the long ball.

Jonnu Smith has already exceeded his New England totals in just a few games, and Nelson Algholor is projected to exceed his Patriot totals by 33% at the rate he's going.
In six games, Jonnu Smith has 28 catches, 309 yards, and 2 TDs.

In six games, Nelson Agholor has 17 catches, 222 yards, and 2 TDs. And his last couple of games have been trending way up.

Ever think that maybe it’s not just the receivers?

I’ve been beating this drum for years: the Patriots don’t give their skill players enough chances to get into any sort of rhythm. They haven’t for years.

If I was a WR coming out in the draft, the last team I’d want to go to is Nee England, and that included the last few years of Brady.

I agree with most of what you wrote but disagree with the last part. Brady goes long more than the vast majority of the league, if you look at the stats. And that's without even having a burner. He got the rep for short passing in his first few years, but the stats showed he averages more long throws than just about anyone else.

Right now, we haven't seen long connections for a few years. People have been assuming it's a WR problem. Might not be,

I really care about 1 thing. Winning. Sit Juju and Parker. Get boutte in the rotation. Mac needs binkies. Pop Douglas is one. Just like Brady had Eldelman and Amendola and hogan. I'm happy to see the changes. Keep the formula, coach needs to be overridden and play the quick recievers, PERIOD! Don't care about contracts, BEST PLAYERS PLAY!

Lol @ defending a guy saying he was good when he played 3 snaps.

Brady had no patience at all for rookies in his last couple of years.

I like QUICK receivers!

Bill trusts the vets over rookies almost to a fault.

Douglas didn't see the field again after the fumble. Meanwhile Bourne is out right back on the field.

Boutte can't be worse than parker who is giving us nothing but excuses
Couldn't have said it any better.

Couple? As in 3? I mean, he certainly had a thing going with Mitchell. That worked well.

What other rookies are you talking about? Harry?

Meyers too, unfortunately, after the Houston game when, during one play he failed to run up the sidelines while Brady was scrambling...

I wish Brady had given Meyers a bit more time the rest of the season to get in sync with him; we could've used somebody like that vs the Queefs... and LOLphins... and Titties...

Still angry at the Sanu pickup. Probably the 1st time where I thought I could make better WR decisions, and I'm a frickin football caveman who knows less than crap.

Sanu had a very good game against the Ravens and then got injured. The following games he tried to tough it out for Tom but no can do. It was a terrible signing because he got injured.

If Jonnu Smith and Agholor had never played for us, we would want to trade for them.
