Shot Across the Bow?

All the talk of BB leaving is fine. The real question is who would be the best to replace him next season?
People thought Payton would be an immediate life change for the Broncos - but clearly not.
I wonder if the Krafts would be brave enough to find a new, inspiring coach, not just another re-tread.
I've never liked BOB for that. And I'm not sure Mayo is the right choice right now either.
What exciting coordinators are out there?

Reids a good coach, there's no denying that, he's made some blunders from time to time but he has a good track record.

Kraft listened to Bill in 2020 when he pushed Brady out the door and said "it's me or him, trust me"

And 4 years later the team is worse than ever with no future hope, no talent on offense, nothing.

So it's fair for Kraft to feel like he made a massive mistake.

Biggest mistake of Krafts ownership.

BB needed a QB in a lousy QB draft. Lawrence looks like Mac with long hair some games. BB got duped by his pal Saban who is starting to be a nut. Saban sided with Mac over Hurts who is 10 times the player. Already went to a Super Bowl and is on course to go back.

BB deserves 1 more shot in a QB rich draft.

Yes

Yes

No; Bill's thrown-away Way too many draft picks Way too often over the years... His time as Chief Grocery-Shopper should be over Already.

Looks like Jalen Mills isn’t thrilled with his usage.

That is Completely Un-****ing-Acceptable.

What kind of ****ing vindictive, petty-ass games is this mother****er of a HC playing NOW?

It starts with a GM. As Kraft, do you hire a new one or do you like what you've seen in Groh and/or Wolf? Let them lead the coach hire.

If not Eliot Wolf then another Outsider.

Al Groh's kid is NOT an option. He would just be More of the Same.

Why anyone would want bill picking the groceries is beyond me.

4 years of drafts since Brady left and this is one of the most untalented offenses put on the field. Not a single player you could build around or see as part of the future. Even if he takes the #1 Quarterback. I don't want them behind this line with these receivers.

Really we can go back 5-6 years or more if we want to pinpoint the horrible drafts. Not sure what happened to bill.

It's why the cupboard was bare for Brady in 2019 and nearly was in 2018. Poor drafts and no contingency plans on replacing important players.

That never happened.

Reid has taken a good QB in McNabb to the Super Bowl patch together some playoff Eagles seasons with various QBs in and out like Jeff Garcia, and AJ Feely. He was able to rehab Michael Vick's career for a couple years. Reid then rehabbed Alex Smith's career almost instantly in KC and we've seen what he can do with a Hall of Famer.
That isn't true.

In his last 2 years in SF Smith was actually a good QB, going 19-5-1

If Reid averages 12 wins a season the next 5 years he will be within 2 games of the record. That is 12 wins a year in a 17 game season and not even including playoff wins. If they win another Super Bowl or two within the next 5 years that record is Reid's easily.
Yeah, it does seem like it's Reid's to get eventually either way, unless Mahomes gets hurt

Honestly the only reason I would really care about Belichick beating Shula is because Shula was such a ****

Bienemy interviews terribly, but he is a more forward thinking offensive mind and while biased... pretty much all the Chiefs speak highly of him.

I wanted Reich as an OC last year. But he could be a good HC if he has a solid GM for a rebuild.

Deion Sanders could be very boom or bust, but it probably comes with his two sons at QB and CB. It would also change our team building strategy immensely.

Todd Monken from the Ravens would be a nice steal as well.

I said this a while ago. Beating Shula’s record means nothing if it’s based on subjecting the fan base to years and years of mediocrity or worse to get there.

Unfortunately I have lost so much respect for BB as a coach. He had his run but his system and philosophy no longer works and he needs to acknowledge it. I hope he looks in the mirror this season and realizes it‘s time to “resign as HC of the NEP”

I'll provide the pen & napkin if necessary.

It could also explain his consistently poor risk/reward decisions on 4th down, which often make zero sense and are inconsistent. This includes the Brady era.
FWIW, he's actually gone from one of the most daring coaches on 4th down early in his career to one of the most conservative in recent years. This seems to have started somewhere between the Colts' 4th and 2, finally getting a decent punter in Mesko, and Gostkowski achieving God mode.
