Just for the record, my fear is that some very bad football in a very small period of time will torpedo this team's chance for 19-0. The most likely time for this to happen is Sunday against the STeelers, because they ARE good, and we ARE tired, as Belichick admitted.
Coming off a Monday night game that was a thriller to the end, we're even more depleted.
The main reason I voice this is because from a certain point of view, a lousy, stinking 20 minutes of bad football kept the 2004 Patriots from being undefeated. Specifically, the first quarter of the STeelers game (that ended the 21 game win streak), and the last 5 minutes of the Miami game, in which a Keystone Kops like comedy of errors resulted in a loss to a pathetic Miami team. It's easily the worst 5 minutes of the Belichick era.
Anyway, I'm predicting that regardless of the regualr season results the bye week and HFA will rejuvenate the team and that we'll take the crown, absent serious injury, but I'm worried that we're going to have another moment like the two above-mentioned games, and that it could doom our chance for perfection.
