Except he threw long on 3rd and short more than once. Floaters with little chance of completion.

That was my only real gripe with mac today. Not sure if its more on him or BOB. The two 3rd downs to jjss were iffy choices, there should be a wayer high percentage play on 3rd and short.

Once we are all done waving our pom poms around, we might reflect on the fact we just barely beat the Jets, the Zack Wilson-led Jets.
Let me wave my pom-poms - first, Bills wish they'd been able to do that..... Second, 3 starting CBs out, makeshift OL, inclement weather, at least 7 point swing from two ridiculous DPI non-calls/calls. I'll take it.

Has the Dallas run d been this bad all year?

Theres more that goes into it than the punter. You still have to cover the return. Their coverage completely overwhelmed our blocking, and these are usually situations where someone outkicks the coverage, but somehow we still couldn’t set up a half decent return.

Our returner had to backpedal nearly 20 yards so not set up for a decent return. Long hang time too. Sometimes the other guys just make an exceptional play.

One thing I don't understand about the 2nd half: if we went super conservative, why were we up tempo? Mac was snapping the ball with 20 seconds on the play clock.

On 4th and 1 with about 10 minutes left, we took a timeout with 25 seconds on the play clock, then we punted.

That made absolutely no sense.

Really bad clock management

I agree I'd rather see a high % play there BUT those throws were not on Mac, despite what Romo said. It was clear the Jets had help coming over the top. Our WRs should've curled back toward the sideline in both situations, but in the one, Douglas didn't read it right, and then Juju tripped. I wouldn't put those on Mac.

I called this in the GDT.

This was a play design specifically for Brown. Even though it turned out to be a play action, who is going to put coverage on a blocking TE on a run play? Jets got caught committing to defending the flat. Likely a scouted flaw in how the Jets play a blocking TE on a run.

I call bull on Mac saying he knew it was going for a TD. Most likely just going for the first down and it ended up a being a homerun.

They absolutely do not & should not, in fact they should extend Zach.
Let's face it ... Zach needs more girth not length.

Ice up son..

Hard to tell from the video if Mac did it intentionally or even if Mac did it at all. That was right after Mosely wasn’t flagged for roughing up Mac after the whistle for some reason.

people have to backpedal on all crazy long punts, and they all have hangtime if they are traveling 70 yards. But not all of them end with a 5 or 10 yard return whatever it was. You guys are also ignoring the jets getting a 20 yard return on the ensuing exchange. That punt netted 32 yards. Credit to the jets yeah, but We have to do better period with the game on the line

That's the sports radio narrative for the week, that Matt Jones is a dirty player

I have no problem saying that there are glaring problems. We were down 0-2. We were down 3 CBs and had an Oline held together with duck tape. Our run game is iffy. Our pass blocking is iffy. Our receivers are iffy.

But you know what? I'm @#$%ing ecstatic we beat a tough defense in NJ, against refs who gift wrapped the TD for the Jets. That our guys didn't turn the ball over. And we've now beat the JETE 15 times in a row.

If some people only want to call out the glaring problems, go ahead, but you'll have to forgive me for enjoying this one.
Don’t get me wrong I’m happy they won and maybe I’m looking at things too holistically but I saw a pats team in week one that had heart, determination, and tenacity I did not see it this today.

Appreciate the breakdown. Would have liked to see something simple underneath there.
