Well. Play calling has been an issue. They are throwing behind the LOS too much, but Mac heaving deep balls that land no where hasnt helped. Its causing teams to crowd the box/intermediate passing lanes. Mac needs to elevate his game too.How so? Booty and the refs kills those last minute drives. Not Mac.
Why couldn't they just go through the draft? Is that a rhetorical question? If he needs elite talent than we have to do what the Rams did and go all in for one Super Bowl. I don't think any of us want that. I would rather draft another QB this year and continue the search for an elite QB.
it can be - when you have an owner with deep enough pockets and a willingness to spend the money required to do that... but then what? What the Rams did was worth it.
That's a relief.I didn’t realize you’re an Andy/Showtime15 type of poster. This is the last time I’ll waste my time reading one of your posts.
i was going to expand on the three and outs, but i didnt, my bad... 3 and outs, sacks, ints, etc... I am expecting those 3 and outs to drop, as we have a better o scheme with BoB... but its not all sunshine and fairy farts yet... so, you are right, only 1 in the miami game... in the 4th quarter - incomplete pass, sack for -10, incomplete pass...
right when it matters most.
and here i thought we were having a nice back and forth, but nope, you gotta be a ****head about it... shame on me for expecting something better when you are vehemently defending a guy who cant get out of his own way in the 4th quarter.Your goalpost moving is noted. Thanks.
And that sack is 110% on Mac. He should have known that Anderson wasn’t going to block at all and allow the defender a free shot at Mac. He should have gotten rid of the ball in 0.75 seconds. The fact that he was holding onto the ball still when he was sacked at 1 second after the sack is inexcusable. You can’t be a pocket passer and hold onto the ball forever like that.
If you blame Jones for that three and out, you are just a hater.

and you are god damn right mac should have known that sack was coming - Anderson plays on the right side of the line... Its not like it was a blind side it... Just another example of the poor pocket awareness Mac Jones shows in every single ****ing game... the bigger the moment gets you just know hes going to take the sack
We'll probably draft another QB anyway in April, that's what Bill does every year even in the Brady era.
I wonder what the Panthers think of Bryce Young so far?
He has terrible pocket awareness for a third year playerI apologize I took your post as being snarky.
And I made a mistake. Lowe gave up that sack from the left side And no a QB cannot always pick up a jailbreak rush from every direction. But that one was a blindside rush.
And Mac has been pressured 20 times in week one and 18 times in week two. His pocket awareness has been fine this year. Seriously I don’t know how you can watch the first two games this year behind a horrible o-line and say he has had bad pocket awareness. In fact, it has been Mac’s improvising on quickly collapsing pocket that have been some of his best plays like the Henry TD on Sunday.
He has terrible pocket awareness for a third year player
He does. We see it week in week out. Every time there is a big drive, what happens? He takes a sack.No he doesn’t that is 1,000% wrong. The guy has been pressured nearly 40 times in two games. If he had horrible pocket awareness for a ten year veteran, he would already been sacked a dozen times and have at least 4-5 INTs.
I am sorry, but you seem to have come to this conclusion and seeing what you want to see.
He does. We see it week in week out. Every time there is a big drive, what happens? He takes a sack.
6 this year in two games... he's either caught stepping back or is so dead set 9n his target he forgets everything else around him...
And here we go with the nothing is Mac's fault narrative... he doesn't block... his wrs aren't good... my favorite this week was Parker is supposed to be the 50/50 guy, right? Nah that ball wasn't underthrown at all...He has six sacks for the year. And I think all of those are on plays where the defender came in unblocked or at least plays where the defender had no problem getting around or through the blocker quickly. He didn't have a sack on that final drive against the Eagles where if Boutte dragged his foot, the Pats would have been first and goal on the eight in position to win the game. He didn't have sacks on any of the scoring drives in that game including the ones to dig the Pats out of the deficit.
As of right now, the only QBs who have had less time to throw in the pocket are Lawrence, Burrow, and Tua. Lawrence and Burrow have played like crap because of it and Tua was because the Pats played three deep safety with no pass rush allowing Tua to get rid of the ball quickly. Lawrence is completing 63% of his passes with 2 TDs and 1 INT and a QB rating of 84.1. Burrow is completing 56.9% of his passes with 2 TDs and 1 INT with a QB rating of 70.6.
After two games, Jones leads the league in most hurries. He leads the league in most blitzes against. According to the stats below, Mac is the eight best in fewest bad throw percentage at 11.5% despite throwing more balls than anyone else and having the most pressures.
I am sorry, but at this point, I think you are manufacturing this. He doesn't block. And the o-line has been abysmal. For what he has had to work with, he has been pretty darn good with pocket awareness.

Of course you did because it goes along with your narrative that the pass offense is all good.Did I say that? I said the Patriots right now are a far better passing team than running team.
The NE offense is ranked 22nd and that is a reflection of your QB. Chicago shares the spot with NE.I never said either was something that opposing defenses fear.
Short and unproductive drives like right now?Opposing defense would just rather the Pats run the ball because it is extremely easy to defend right now and would lead to a lot of short and unproductive drives.
Blaming the OL right on que.Defenses would be licking their chops if the Pats decided to go with a run heavy offensive gameplan with how bad the o-line is blocking on run downs.
You will never admit that youre wrong. That is your problem. You don't even read what other people write and make up what you want to believe other people said to fit your narrative.
Corky proves my point every game. You are proving my point about the extreme partisanship when it comes to Mac Jones.
You think Crappy Zappy is good. Lololol. Might wanna take a seat on this one chief cause it looks like your QB assessment ability needs some work....Of course you did because it goes along with your narrative that the pass offense is all good.
We heard about it all offseason, through camp, but we never saw any proof and nobody is seeing proof now, but you. I just let you run amok and kept silent, but not any more now that the truth is out.
The NE offense is ranked 22nd and that is a reflection of your QB. Chicago shares the spot with NE.
Justin Herbert is also 0 - 2 with the 6th ranked offense.
Short and unproductive drives like right now?
Defenses are crowding the LOS and daring the Pats to pass. They like INTs and your boy is on pace for 17. Progress.
Blaming the OL right on que.
Do you realize that Tua has less time than Corky to throw?
You will never admit that youre wrong.
Wrong all off season. Wrong now and wrong tomorrow.
Corky proves my point every game.
