Going to be a long season. This team has a lot of work to do.

Mac Jones has had 5 4th quarter drives in the past 2 weeks with the opportunity to tie the game or take the lead.

He has 0 points on those 5 drives.
Gotta call a spade a spade. I get that there are circumstances where Mac isn’t always to blame, like last week with Boutte’s feet. But with a growing sample size, it proves he’s just not getting it done when we need it most.

I saw other calls on Sunday that were more obvious that were ruled not enough to overturn. I would say, that play certainly would fall into that category.
Why did the booth even call down? How many times have we seen something so close just get ignored under 2 minutes?

Looked like Strange was looking to not fumble when he needed to reach for the 1st down. Can't really blame him as an OL though.

At least they made a game of it... Pats looked dead in the water late there. (No I'm not calling it a moral victory.)

Mac Jones was the fastest Pats ball carrier in the game at 19.17mph. That makes me want to hurl. Wish we got to see a shot of Reagormeister.

Even Cam had 3 4thQ comebacks / game winning drives in his lone season with the Pats.

Not sure why everyone thinks that was a bad call/ not procedure. Irrefutable evidence doesn’t need to require significant margins/ yardage. If there is clear and indisputable evidence that someone is 6 inches short, that is the call. Terry (what’s his name) pointed out that his elbow came down right on the first down line…you can deduce that the ball was further back when his knee hit. First there’s the visual evidence but there’s still a some small reasonable doubt about the angle. The knee/ elbow makes it indisputable.
It was literally 1 inch short.

What about Rham earlier? He was way past the marker.

Guys, and this also goes for @FCB02062 , I hated the move also but the guy lasted all of three more seasons (and solidified his legacy with the win in Tampa). If they picked Brady, he'd be gone and they'd be in the same position with who knows at QB, just a different name. This reality was coming, it just would have been in another form. "It is what it is." Let it go.

I think that is only fair if BB had made really serious improvements in 4 years and had the team looking like a serious contender. There just seemed to be no plan

And Brady won a Super Bowl with what was the worst franchise in North American pro sports prior to his arrival.
And you should be happy about that. If Brady doesn't leave and get that win, they'd still be talking about how Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes was potentially the GOAT. That win cemented his legacy and quieted that talk. At the same time, if he stayed, it was just delaying the inevitable.

Who is listening to Felgah stroking it tomorrow

It’s more like showing respect to the guy who was more responsible for our success. You don’t show him the door in favor of a guy who was 5-13 before the savior showed up. But I digress.

Another moral victory. Yay!

This is why I was vitriolic last week in that Philly game. Calling the team a joke, etc.

This team just isn't that good!

So they'll beat Zach Wilson next week. And throughout the year, we'll "technically" be in the playoff race. But in the end of the day, they can't beat good teams reliably. Because they lack talent on offense. QB, Receiver, O-line, etc.

And the coaching isn't great either. O'Brien is okay but he's no Shanahan or McVay. Bill is liable to make questionable coaching decisions that no longer get masked by TB12. And he can bench players too long for a mistake or comment.

Again, the big picture.

That is also something that bothers me. The refs said "1st down" and were giving the ball to NE to run to the line for the next play. The league then phoned in and said STOP! STOP!!! We need to review!!!!

The league office specifically had an issue with it, the refs did not.

I can hear Joker ranting and raving from here. That last call was such BS and an obvious call in from NY. No way in hell somebody from the office wasn’t in the ear of that “replay official” they cut to to explain calls before they are made saying spin it spin it spin it we need the general perception to be it was short cuz of “reasons”. The corrupt seedy game fixing NYFL **** needs to stop. Indisputable he didn’t get it? Where? It was damn close either way in which case it should stand as called.

all that said entertaining game but one where they probably didn’t deserve the win, too many mistakes and self inflicted wounds. Seems like every time they finally get something going all it takes is one missed block, one drop, one teeny mistake and it all falls apart. Having 40? Ish? Rushing yards going into the 4th is unacceptable for a team that’s been designed to run the ball. Defense did its job for the most part except for two running plays, relying on Myles Bryant as a starter even, so I have very little complaints for them, but the offense has got to figure out how to be more consistent. I was actually wondering why the dolphins attempted that last FG, I was saying to myself I’d punt, cuz no way are they scoring from 90 yards away.

I have no doubt the Patriots deserved to lose this game but this is the 2nd time in 2 games the Patriots got hosed:

Waddle got hit in the head. PENALTY. Bourne on the next series got hit in the head when player launched. NO PENALTY. Rham gets a bad spot, Belichick challenges, they say too close to overturn. Strange gets spotted a 1st down, they call down from the booth, then overturn.

Not to mention the Strange holding penalty which wasn't, yet killed a drive.
I said the exact the same shift,
