JETS SUCK 2023 EDITION (JOKER CERTIFIED): HARD KNOCKERS

I didn't watch hard knocks, but didn't the Jete invite Daniel-san to help motivate the team?

Someone at the top clearly has a hard-on for that franchise. Could explain why Punky-san is still on the team

How cute BSPN, but you KNOW all three of those teams would laugh if you offered to trade their QB1 for McMilfson...

I don't think anyone could watch the Chiefs game and the Jets game and walk away thinking Wilson played better than Mahomes. He was awful.

He definitely played better than Allen though. That guy blew chunks.

League offices: Oh chit, we have so much invested in the Jete this year being relevant. Quick, tell ESPN to post something that shows Milfson isn't that bad and it'll be ok for them.

He’ll be 41 during the 2024 season. There is zero chance Rodgers is even close to to his dropping 2022 stats if he plays again. He literally won’t survive a 2024 season. The team has to put a good spin on this but behind closed doors if they believe he will be effective…they should be fired.

The key observation is that Burrow, Allen and Mahomes all under-performed their career stats in the first game of a season in an era when QBs don't play much if at all during the truncated pre-season.

This is the epitome of "small sample size", but what else can you expect from BSPN?

Fun fact for the young-uns:

From 1970 through 1977, the NFL season consisted of 14 regular season games and six exhibition games, sometimes but not always three at home and three away (the 1973 Washington Redskins, for instance, played all but one of six preseason games at home), with some played at neutral sites.

Jete.

They likely will talk themselves into it just because they've invested so much, financially and emotionally.

Yep, da Jete are scheduled for five nationally televised games this season. Even the Jete fans don't want to see that much of McMilfson. Yet it's not that easy to flex games around, so the Park Avenue chucklehads are trying to polish this turd of a situation.

White was their best performing QB in the past half dozen years.
If Jete brass were running the 49ers they'd have signed Rodgers there too, they'd have kept Lance, and traded Purdy for a 6th. Probably would have called it smart business "We got Purdy in the 7th and flipped him for a 6th, that's a win baby."

Agree. That's why McMilfson is still around, Douglas can't/won't admit he made a mistake.

Meanwhile as @Brotherblues just posted, SF cut their losses with Lance even though they had made a huge investment in him.

Douglas quickly dumped Darnit because he was the last regime's pick.

They'll have to pay him to retire. No way is he walking away.

Agree. Same as others have mentioned…they should negotiate an early exit deal.

It sounds like they're thinking of signing Flacco.
Why? A stiff like him will get killed behind the Jete OL.

Maybe they figure the only way to get a few decent plays out of McMilfson is for him to come in after a vet gets taken off on a cart?

Death would be imminent.

There are no good quarterbacks out there right now. So they need someone who has played in the system as a stable vet behind Punky.

Has Flacco played in the Hackett/GB style system? I think he was let go long before Hackett came to town.
No, but he's played for the Jets. It doesn't matter. No QB that they bring in now is going to turn that ship around now. It's Punky's team now.
