Agreed. Jon Jones on Smith is an ideal match-up, with both being small fast guys. That match-up should not be an issue.

Gonzo should match up on AJ Brown as Gonzo is slightly taller and much faster. Brown is stronger but Gonzo is much more athletic otherwise. Gonzo has to start learning now, it is go time.
The GDT is going to explode when they continue the last four/five years' trend of higher amounts of zone early in the year this Sunday.

Probably, but he shouldn't get too comfortable.
They’re suggesting we cut Corral already? That would be a disappointment. I get trying to stash him on PS but that’s a heckuva risk.

Oh man, I completely missed the part where Masslive speculated that Corral was cut. I can't believe they have that much faith in Zappe.

I predict they'll elevate Zappe and Corral won't be active on Sunday. Same for the following game and perhaps the one after that too. But then Zappe will be out of elevations and they'll either have to sign Zappe to the 53 or put their trust in Corral.

Except Gonzo I think the whole secondary is returning players? Maybe Mapu plays he is new? They should be able to run some man and matched zone, but with a scrambling QB, you are right, lots of zone like the Lions last night.

FTR: Nobody is shutting A.J. Brown down and that includes Gonzo.

Don't need to shut him down. Just need to keep him from taking over the game. Also easier said than done.

DeVonta Smith seems to be very underrated here I beg to differ. The Eagles O will tell us how good our Defense actually is.

A.J. Brown is a ridiculous RZ Threat too he's the complete package.

I don't think anyone is underrating him. Jon Jones is a really good corner and holds his own against Tyreek Hill. That doesn't mean Smith won't beat him, but there's no reason to think they're in different leagues.

Not really, Belichicks defenses usually take time to come together and are playing their best ball later in the season.

I'm wondering if Jack Jones wouldn't be better off on the IR.
So when is Roger going to step in with his punishment?? I wish they would just get it over with.

I listened to Curran and Perry's podcast. They had a media guy from Philly who said Brown and Smith are really dialed in with the QB and can beat very good man coverage with back shoulder catches.

It will be interesting to watch.
