look to find somebody with more substantial Left Tackle experience
He’s hurt. I can’t find anything about the extent of his injury, but it must be reasonably serious since they’re giving up on him despite other major issues at the tackle position.Re sign him?
Why? We let him go and then he failed with the JeteI think you have to consider bringing Cajuste back, given the mystery regarding Anderson. I’m starting to get a bad feeling about Anderson having a truly serious health issue (G-d forbid). Cajuste was around for part of the offseason so if he is healthy would not need a lot of time to integrate. The few times he’s been healthy he’s been decent at times, which seems to be where Rieff and McDermott are at this point as well.
OT = biggest potential issue IMHO, it’s deja vu all over again. Ugh
Maybe Cajuste should contact Ferentz to ask what his longevity secret is ?Why? We let him go and then he failed with the Jete
What could possibly make us suddenly think it was wrong to release him? Did he do something to stop sucking?
How many of our 2019 draftee are still playing in the NFL?Fun fact. The Pats chose 10 players in the 2019 draft. Not one is still with the team. They chose only four in the 2017 draft, but two are still with the team.
All of them except Ken Webster, pick 252.How many of our 2019 draftee are still playing in the NFL?
I think that is a better test than whether they still play for us.
I can definitely see your point here, I wasn’t sorry when the Pats let Cajuste go since I thought With Anderson and Rieff coming in they had made Cajuste expendable. Why? We let him go and then he failed with the Jete

My comment was/is primarily based on concern about Anderson, I haven’t seen anything that leads me to believe he is coming back soon and will be ready to play Game 1. If Anderson is not going to be there then I’m not sure who are the options at LT behind Brown and I guess Rieff. Brown has not been on the field consistently and reports indicate that Rieff has been less than stellar.
So who is currently the next man up behind Brown and Rieff at LT? Sow? McDermott? Steuber? Strange? I’m interested in your opinion on this, and of course everyone else’s opinions about it also.
I thought Anderson was at practice the other day though not participating. Would seem to indicate that he might be back soon.I can definitely see your point here, I wasn’t sorry when the Pats let Cajuste go since I thought With Anderson and Rieff coming in they had made Cajuste expendable.

He was a Sunday’s practice per a tweet I saw. Zach Cox of NESN mentioned Mike Onwenu had been spotted working down on the lower field, but that’s the first and only report I’ve heard about him. The Boston “Knights of the keyboard” would rather try to drum up a QB battle rather than report on the team’s starting RG and best OLineman.I thought Anderson was at practice the other day though not participating. No way. He will be back on IL as soon as the ink is dry on the contract. He also was never any good even when healthyRe sign him?
I think all of them are preferred to Cajuste, and I bet there will be many OT released in cut down day that would be better options.I can definitely see your point here, I wasn’t sorry when the Pats let Cajuste go since I thought With Anderson and Rieff coming in they had made Cajuste expendable.

Sounds like it’s McDermott. During yesterday’s practice when they got into the personnel expected to play tomorrow, it was McDermott at LT and Sow at RT with Brown and Reiff sitting out. From what I’ve ready, Stueber has only played LT while Sow has only played RT. They each have college experience on the other side though. So who is currently the next man up behind Brown and Rieff at LT? Sow? McDermott? Steuber? Strange?
