Once upon a time we would say can never have enough pass rushers. Oddly enough right now it seems like a position we are pretty good at and given he hasn't done much since he left here it's double odd.

That said I like him (makes me think of big plays in big games) and you can never have enough pass rushers so why not give it a shot.

Even though we have vets on the team…I feel like Flowers would be a good teaching mentor for White. It may or may not be this case but I’m sure Bill thinks about that. Example: signing Collins last year or the year before was a waste unless he was there to help with that.

Depth on the edge is thin.
Judon
Uche
Jennings
Perkins

His body has only cooperated for 18 of the last 50 games, so it seems like a stretch to expect him on the roster. He can be on the practice squad to he called up for a few games, making maybe $400k. I don’t understand the thought process given his $62M in career earnings, but I guess some guys really like football.

If he can rush the passer, he is worth being the 90th man on the roster.

We tried Jalen Hurd also....cost us nothing.

The last 3 years when he plays he's averaged 37 snaps a game. Still a decent workload for a DE.

The problem is hes only played 18 games over that span. Can't stay healthy.

Maybe a reduced workload means less is more?

I'd like to think he still has something left in the tank.....but not at 40 snaps a game. More like 20-25.

Might be a good mentor for Keion White for a year.

Maybe if something happened to Judon, Uche or Wise he sticks to the roster.

Flowers was actually good last year before getting hurt. He had 1 hit & 7 pressures on 43 pass rush snaps. It's not like he's old either.

He may be toast but him as the 5th/6th pass rusher in a rotation of judon, uche, barmore, wise & white is worth a signing IMO.

One of his most effective roles here was moving inside and rushing from the DT position on obvious passing downs; 3rd and long, 2 minute. He and Chandler Jones were the best at that. Closest thing we have now is wise.
