It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If things are like other years, it will be hard to determine much about the OL and DL since they have historically practiced the furthest away from the stands of any of the individual groupings. That's why I always question the "wins and losses" stats a few of the media put out since they are trying to do it with binoculars from over 150yds away as well. As a fan I kind of wish sometimes they'd allow a media member to be closer but I understand why they don't as a coach.Cool. Should be fun. Linebackers vs Rb's and Te's hit drills. Love to hear some insight on the o-line groupings. How does Klemm teach, Dantes inferno pt. 2.
And of course you are obligated to object to any positive informationThank you kindly!
Day 3 of TC in 2022 people seems high on:
1) Terrence Mitchell
2) Lil Jordan Humphrey
3) Jonnu Smith
4) Tre Nixon
5) Shaun Wade
6) Hunter Henry
Shows to me how unreliable early TC stars are in predicting who will be difference makers during regular season.
No it’s ok to include me on the silly side of this. I post a lot of Twitter updates that have zero meaning statistically. I like to see how the players are performing in camp even in these meaningless no pads early days. The offense has struggled for several reasons and the stats back that up. One thing not many have mentioned are the problems McSorley has had. At times he’s looked beyond terrible and the stats back that up.This is getting pretty silly. They haven't even put pads on yet. Not you for posting it, but reporters for acting like they're actual stats that mean anything.
Receiver separation has been a problem, mainly someone having the ability to simply beat the defender in front of them on their own, with certain front liners failing to make an impact and others wearing coverage down the field, leading to inefficient, contested targets.
The big-picture takeaway for the Patriots offense in the very early stages of camp is simple: will they begin moving the ball more easily when O'Brien can flex his scheme and game-planning muscles, or is this a player-based talent issue that can't be solved entirely by coaching?
I mean, I thought it was kind of understood that it was because he sucks. No it’s ok to include me on the silly side of this. I post a lot of Twitter updates that have zero meaning statistically. These guys are fighting for a job…for some this is all they know. They are trying to show they belong in the NFL.
Most years I post a lot of OTA and Mini camp updates because I’m excited about the new year. I’m optimistic about the future. It matters to me.
He is seriously terrible. At least Hoyer looked like an NFL QB in camp (not in actual games however).I mean, I thought it was kind of understood that it was because he sucks.
As near as I can tell, he currently has a job as a nepo-hire for Bill O'Brien because he recruited the kid at Penn State. He is seriously terrible. At least Hoyer looked like an NFL QB in camp (not in actual games however).
Totally agree. It’s important they work on the red zone…it hasn’t been a strong suit lately. I also think it’s important the offense gets into a groove with success moving the ball so they feel they are making progress. I have faith in BOB regardless.I think these first three practices have been designed to disadvantage the offense as much as possible. Red zone favors defense greatly. Compressed field makes separation very difficult. Not including running plays likewise factors defense. IIRC no rub plays. Seems the overall play selection was been reduced. I suspect plays are being selected to target specific players on both sides of the ball to see what they’ve got, as much as to run a successful scoring drive. The whole thing is totally unrealistic as an overall picture of the offense. So nothing that should trigger panic about talent or coaching. I’d say it’s really good coaching. Works on improving a very important area that was an area of weakness last year. Installs some building blocks and finds out what they have to work with for later, when the playbook expands and the offense is not as disadvantaged. I like what I’m seeing. The glass is half full and still being filled.
This is a great point. He's almost certainly going to have to find a way to fit on the 53 this year with their DB depth. This might be his last shot.Wade is the DB who most closely resembles Devin McCourty physically; it seems logical to me to want to see if he can make the transition from Outside/LOS CB to Free/Deep Safety, as a backup/understudy to either Jon Jones or Jalen Mills, whoever of those two wind up there... Same career trajectory as McCourty himself, btw... Also same as DMac, Wade was considered one of the better-tackling DBs in the entire draft; I'm kinda surprised therefore that he hasn't seen more action on STs...
