As to the WRs we have on hand:

- I am not expecting much separation this year. The only guys that can separate are Thorton (with straight line speed), our shifty guys in Bourne/Davis (with underneath routes), and Parker/Geisicki/Henry (with their bodies and hands).

- Then there are our backs in Stevenson/Montgomery/Strong to catch balls in the flat.

- The wild card for me is JuJu’s YAC. Remember how he flipped that game in Pittsburgh before we got saved by the TE’s ruled non-catch at the goal line, and Duron Harmon’s interception/touchback. Fun game.

- And like alluded to above…the run game should set up some mismatches for us to exploit.

Ty Montgomery.. Who is off to a great start in camp as reported. Will add another dimension to the offense. He line up out wide, slot and of course in the backfield. I believe we are going to suprise people offensively this season.

Our WRs are all good enough NFL players. Juju has played in big games and brings superbowl pedigree. Thornton we need to take deep shots to him on 2nd and short.. that will likely keep defenses from playing tight at the line. Therefore giving Mac plenty of options on 3rd down.

Our TEs are the biggest mismatch we have.. as they will eat up the middle of the field. Likely drawing a safety or LB.

Definitely agree with our backs.. I want to go with the guys we have after Rham/Strong /Harris and Ty. Let's see how it goes with the young guys. They need run. That's the only way to know what they can do for the team.

The analogy is for me is Mac sits down, gets his next assignments from Obrien and goes over why they are off the field. Qb coach comes in and addresses his footwork, his progressions, his internal clock, his blitz options when the D attacks, the wind, the matches or mismatches.

Is Joe Judge doing this? No way.
I read there is an assistant QB coach, I saw a photo of him, he is the go-get-the-coffee guy. They do list a QB coach and it happens to be Larry O'Brien with his assistant QB coach Evan Rothstein. See in the list of Patriots coaches below:

Your suggestion is to get another coach just for QB Mac Jones other than Larry and his assistant QB coach Evan. Has Mac Jones earned this extra expense? He may need it, I am not debating that point.
