All-time draft thread/picks

And I would DMC in the open field > Reed & Thomas. Reed's IQ, ball skills and range was elite but open field tackle. 1 v 1 I'm taking DMC all day.

Imagine benching a player with that open field ability, with one miracle/gadget play left to defend, in favor of a lumbering tight end?

Jim Parker and Aeneais Williams were next on my board for Team A. I'll adjust.

I wouldn't sweat losing Parker; I should've drafted him ahead of Dierdorf anyway.

According to that same Gil Brandt article, I now have the top 3 OTs of all time... But Dierdorf doesn't even make his top 22!

JO is one of my all time fav. I think he's a legit top 30 player all time including QB.

I got a few tricks up my sleeve.

working on rounding out my offensive lines... think both are in good shape so far, few more slots to fill, of course... have the next few picks lined up, but you all have put a few corkscrews in my well laid out plans so far...

I think the discrepancy may be between all pros before and after the merger.

This site listed Gino as a 10x all pro

@Boomer B a lot of the "all pro" your putting isn't right I believe.

Like Gino wasn't 10X all pro I believe according to pfr Not a huge difference bit they have him listed at 7

Saw it on another player that looked high.
a lot of those all pro team designations have to do with who actually named the player an all pro... AP, UPI, NEA, PFWA The Sporting News, etc for older sources of the honor... some are counted as legit, others not...

either way Gino Marcheti was a beast

Suggestions: Gary Zimmerman, Alan Faneca, Jim Langer, Brian Waters, Kevin Mawae

yeah... I have a rankings list for each position... might not be the same for everyone, but it works for me

next time we do a draft, you should join in

I'm sure this is true for all of you as well, because we'll all picking HOF or near HOF favorites, but I love my teams.

Yup. Very happy so far. We should set up a thread with a poll in a day or so.

Mine are better.

The Dingleberry Casino, a reputable and unbiased source, just listed my teams as co-favorites.

But I'm you have a nice little team.

Drew Brees just got drilled on a 1980's hit because Ronnie Lott didn't like your tone. So you're looking more like the Aints. Sorry.

@everlong my fault, I missed that... I will have @Dingleberry edit it...

No worries and sorry for putting it in the other thread but I didn't want everyone to miss it. I'm not sure how often people are checking this thread vs the other.

It's appropriate to be in the other thread... Glad you found the error so quickly

Me too as it would have been harder to untangle later.

Keeping my own records has paid off. I'll probably never know if I was right but based off of pick patterns I would have 2 players in mind and I'd take one based upon who I thought would make it back around to me. Based upon some of the emoticons to those picks and the other player making it through I think I was right at least a few times.

I've also, obviously, been on the losing end many times where a pick goes just before I was going to take them.

Good morning everyone, I just made my 2nd pick in round 11 (Ray Berry)... I have to sign-off for a couple of hours again in a little while, but if some of us are awake I can stick-around to make my first pick near the top of round 12 before I leave...

I’m at the point where everyone on my board is gone, thought there were going to be 7 teams so only got 8-10 at each position and I haven’t done the kind of ranking research needed to make informed picks. Gonna work on that in a bit but have to spend some time with my family. I guess they miss me when I work nights or something. Glad I frustrated Bacon for a change with my Hightower pick but he was the best Thumper I could think of off the top of my head and I was debating how much longer he would last. Sounds like I got him right when I needed to

This the 2nd time @Pape has tried to poach a player off another team.

Hey Commish @BaconGrundleCandy , we gonna see a penalty for tampering?
