All-time draft thread/picks

Next best thing to Ed reed that somebody took a round too early. Plus safety depth sucks
DMC is more versatile, better ball skills and is the superior tackler in the open field. Same player in terms of stats but I think DMC is very underrated.

Next time we do this @Ice_Ice_Brady gave me a much better format to keep things moving. Guys I'm a star but need help. I build Boston. 75 acre potatoe and beats farm. Tons of hours editing foot pictures. I need a little help sometimes.

Multiple picks per round. Can't pick the same position per round. I still think we should have two posters. One as a proxy in case someone dies, is asleep, work.

Maybe RD1 - 1 pick. O or D. RD2 two picks O or D. RD3 three picks O or D. RD4 four picks O or D. Can only pick one position. I'm open to suggestions. Maybe keep it to two picks per round?

Just have to move it along a little quicker for the first couple rounds.

Just designate a single person to receive PMS to act as a proxy. So if someone knows they are going to be off for an extended period, pm the proxy.

Two selections per pick and a bpa of 10 players list to draw from if those picks are taken.

Easy peasy nice and easy

1st post has been updated thru 6:00 pm

I will have a new picks thread starting up tonight to start fresh and get the rest of the rounds posted...

DMC has better ball skills than Ed Reed?

And I would DMC in the open field > Reed & Thomas. Reed's IQ, ball skills and range was elite but open field tackle. 1 v 1 I'm taking DMC all day.

I think it's more even between Reed and DMC but I'd give Devin a slight nod. It's not worth quibbling over.

@Boomer B a lot of the "all pro" your putting isn't right I believe.

Like Gino wasn't 10X all pro I believe according to pfr Not a huge difference bit they have him listed at 7

Saw it on another player that looked high.

Idk I agree it feels like earl was smaller and not as good of a tackler but then I remember probably the hardest, cleanest hit I ever saw on Gronk. If you said twenty yards downfield Gronk has the ball and he just needs to beat earl id be like easy TD but Thomas timed the hit perfectly arrived in a bad mood and layed Gronk the F out! i would rank them Reed, Thomas, DMC but the last two are close

One of the more versatile players ever. Tough as nails. Lewis was a beast.

Guys I’d be considering that I didnt see taken yet:
- John Mackey
- Gale Sayers
- Larry Csonka
- Paul Warfield
- Mike Webster
- Dave Casper
- Elroy Hirsch
- Bob Hayes
- Sammy Baugh
- Red Grange
- Mick Tinglehoff
- Tim Brown
- Dwight Stevenson
- Dermontti Dawson
- Warren Moon
- Jim Kelly

I think the discrepancy may be between all pros before and after the merger.

This site listed Gino as a 10x all pro

According to the HOF's website, in 14 seasons he was named to 11 Pro Bowls, including 9 All-Pro/NFL teams:

Good list…I was trying to think of some too without looking them up. There are tons of running backs (who were face of NFL franchises for years.). Emmitt Smith, OJ Simpson, Marshall Faulk, Thurman Thomas, Marcus Allen, Curtis Martin to name most obvious.

For omitted active (or recently retired) players: Marshal Yanda, Bobby Wagner and Ndamukong Suh.

Since you mentioned Tim Brown, there are a slew of receivers in his class. Tory Holt, Andre Johnson, Lynn Swan, Raymond Berry, Andre Reed, Mark Clayton.

Sammy Baugh, Sid Luckman, Bart Starr, and Terry Bradshaw still on the board.

Jim Parker and Aeneais Williams were next on my board for Team A. I'll adjust.
