Treatment of families is an interesting one. Is it just the lack of daycare, family room, and average post game gathering that factor into that or is it treatment overall?
I found that interesting also. The report shows that teams without a family room has wives having to feed their babies in the bathroom which isn’t cool. You’d think the team would have a spot for the families.

At least we aren’t the Jaguars with a rat infestation.

Well this should really help us land some key free agents.... rough.

Kraft should throw some money at this

some of us have been calling Kraft cheap for a decade plus...BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE PSLS!!!!! chickens are coming home to roost with the 25-26 record post Brady. the facility is average at best, the team is mediocre at best and they no longer have Brady to lure FA taking less $ to play for a winner.
why is bill Belichicks salary such a big CIA secret down at One Patriot Place? Bill the sub .500 coach is getting paid so much that they've have to rely on free coaches for 10 years

Day care?

Wild. Some of these owners nickel and diming their most important assets for what? Does charging for meals really move the needle for the bottom line on a billion dollar franchise?
Completely agree with this. Kraft is supposed to be such a genius businessman, but for a multibillion dollar asset he is trying to save money on fresh paint, appetizers and a weight room?
I thought this was supposed to be such first class organization.
This survey seems to refute that claim.

Surprising and disappointing to see this. It didn’t seem to hurt them signing guys in 2021, so I don’t think we should fly off the handle, but it is concerning. I do think that the Krafts have usually been responsive to being embarrassed.

Just as disappointing is how quickly certain people here seem jump at the chance to call Kraft cheap.

He's a billionaire. 10 of em to be more accurate.

I promise you that 99.9% of the time, you can point to a billionaire and say "They're cheap" and you'd be correct lmao.

And at the end of the day, there are retrofitting opps that he could fund himself to address some of these matters.

I agree with your sentiment overall, it's not a fly off the handle moment. And hell, if it takes a report like this for Kraft to implement these changes, then I'm glad it came out. We'll see. Families are huge and it's an easy accomodations to greatly improve overall morale and culture buy-in.

Felger and Mazz were beating this horse to death today. Of course they left out the grades of the recently crowned SB champions….seems like that adds important context with regard to the real world relevance of this anonymous poll. It’s silly season and this fits right in.

It’s poor practice to release year-old numbers like this. For example, the Patriots rank poorly both in facilities and Kraft’s willingness to spend on upgrades, even though we now know that they are renovating their facilities.
The current renovation benefits neither the players nor the competitiveness of the team on the field.

seems that much of this can be easily fixed. Renovate the locker room, training room, weight room, commit to spend more for travel amenities.
Treatment of families....wonder what the specifics are around that?

I also wonder if because Kraft has the only privately financed stadium in the NFL and got no public fund handouts if that has factored in a little bit as to what he spends on some of the facilities and extras.

Among players, perception is everything. Even if this is 100% false, once the perception is out there, its difficult to reverse.

The one that REALLY stands out to me is the supposed treatment of Player's Families. This was always seemed to be a positive for the Patriots. If they're ranked that low because they don't have a daycare at the stadium, the players need their heads examined. 90% of the world doesn't offer daycare at work..
A family room? really?

I guess this comes across as the players being jaded.

The current renovation benefits neither the players nor the competitiveness of the team on the field.

So, you don't think that enclosing the one end of the field to help with the acoustics (aka fan noise) benefits the players?

There are always things being done that we don't know about.

New reports yesterday confirmed that a new weight room is included. The team didn’t include it in these renovation hype videos because exactly 0 fans cared about the players getting a new weight room until the past 24 hours.

This is interesting:

These were the grades from the "player respondents" from the survey and the overview:

"The New England Patriots ranked 24th in our team guide. The player respondents’ feedback from our survey described the club’s facility as old, dated and in need of renovation. The staffing of the current facilities was also flagged as an issue in need of improvement, specifically in the weight room and training room. The player respondents’ indicated that facilities and operations at the Patriots can use a refresh.

Given the results, it is understandable that only 64% of players believe club owner Robert Kraft is willing to spend the money necessary for upgrades, ranking him 26th in this category."

The link has a further breakdown on each category.
Ian,

Thanks for posting. Was hoping that we'd have a thread on this.

It's appears that since right now we're aren't considered a contender that any piece of information or news is something that was now peeled back since we aren't hoisting up any more Lombardis. May or May not be true..

Who's knows.. I just know when we were winning you never heard anything like this..

The concerning thing I have is.. we are trying to attract Free agents.. and this can't be good for us to see these poll results.. players do care about those things.. however I've heard Cincinnati has one of the worst facilities in the NFL..

Didn't the team supposedly upgrade the interior of the facilities most recently like 2018? And aren't they building a new part to the stadium spending about 200 million?

NFL owners created cap space to increase thier profit margins.. more for them less for the players

This poll is also a year old and by accounts the Pats are also updating their facilities as well as a new part of the stadium.

This is being used to kick the Pats while they're down.
