NFL executive: 'Lamar-for-Tua trade makes sense'

Why would anyone trade for Tua? First, he is an injury concern especially with all the concussions this year. Second, he was just an average QB until he got Tyreek Hill. He has two #1 WRs and a great line. Baltimore doesn‘t have great weapons. Third, as the article points out, the Dolphins don’t have a first rounder this year to trade.

No idea, unless the Ravens would essentially be trying not to end up with nothing by eventually letting him walk. At least this way, they'd have a serviceable player in the short term (if Tua's health ultimately doesn't become an immediate problem) until they found their next guy. Miami obviously wins, and the Ravens at least wouldn't come away empty-handed at QB.

Makes sense for Miami. Tua won't get past the concussion problems. Lamar would put Miami in a dead heat with Buffalo for the division.

Miami trades one injury prone guy for another, gives up trade capital and pays him a lot of money. Makes sense.
Tua's career may be holding on by a thread with the concussions.

Lamar was basically ready to go at the end of the season but he didn't want to risk with a team he's hoping to be done with.

That's a bad look to bail on your team like that. And he's the one who made that choice to cut off talks and bet on himself.

Once the Watson fully guaranteed contact got signed, Baltimore's negotiations with Lamar became hopeless. The relationship there had soured anyway, but after Watson's deal, there was no way Lamar would agree to any type of hometown discount. Then he's releasing his own statement about the "severity" of his injury because Baltimore wasn't doing him any favors in allowing reports of his imminent return. It looked to me like Lamar had decided he just wasn't playing another down this season no matter what.

They need to tag Lamar and look for a trade partner.

tag him twice and play him til the wheels come off all the while developing his replacement they will draft this year

as for trading for tua? with his penchant for head injuries, the guy is like an aneurysm waiting to happen... who would actually trade for him?

As I predicted, Jacksons injuries are becoming more serious and happening more frequent.

He has missed 10 games over the last 34 games.

The RB/QB will never work in the NFL. Eventually, the big hit is coming that puts you out of business.

After Baltimore handed KC their missing piece (Orlando Brown) last year, I put nothing stupid past them.
But Tua shouldn't even be on the field anymore, let alone be considered a trade piece. He should really consider hanging them up after those concussions. Just brutal stuff.

You have to respect a front office who sees a weakness and makes it a strength in less than 2 seasons.

It’s going to be difficult to unseat KC if they had our defense they would of went undefeated.

I think Tua is an okay QB but he has to have next to zero trade value considering his injury situation. He could be retired by the middle of next season.

KC? Absolutely. They not only got quality linemen, they got guys - Brown and Thuney - who don't miss many games.

Baltimore for handing their biggest obstacle a critical piece? Idiots.
