Class of 2023 Hall Of Famers

Congrats to Darrelle Revis, a true New England Patriot. He’ll always be remembered in blue and white, despite playing for some losers.
I have a Jets friend who hates it when I call him "Patriots legend and Super Bowl champion Darrelle Revis". It annoys him and he tries to pretend it doesn't which is the best part.

I guess the flood gates have opened for that Bucs Super Bowl team in 02. John Lynch was in no way a hall of famer and honestly I don’t think Ronde Barber is either. They really need a separate building for the first ballot guys. Tom Brady, Barry Sanders, and Deion Sanders shouldn't be in the same building with Jerome Bettis, Kurt Warner, Terrell Davis, Tony Boselli, Lynn Swan, and about a half dozen other Steelers.

Good list, all deserving within the current context. I especially liked Ware and Zach Thomas, I knew Revis and Joe Thomas were shoo-ins so Barber was the only surprise for me, I knew he was very good but didn’t get my attention back when Tampa was great because of guys like Brooks and Lynch and the detestable but excellent Mr. Sapp.

I guess I am happy that Coryell was elected as I knew he had some great teams and was certainly innovative in offense. However the fact that he never won s championship is significant in my mind. I guess that threshold was passed a long time ago with Bud Grant and Marv Levy but their teams won the NFC and AFC 4 times. I’m not aware of another head coach in the HOF whose teams didn’t ever win at least their conference championship. An interesting case and opens up a can of worms for sure.

I hope Kraft, Vince, and Rodney get in next year, they all are richly deserving. Freeney, Patrick Willis, Steve Smith, Devin Hester, and James Harrison are all guys I think are deserving as well.

Bit much, no?
I would take Bruschi any day. Thomas was very good, small, tough, instinctive. I can't believe a Thomas gets selected and Willie McGinest, so underrated despite the accolades may never get to the HOF>

Absolutely imagine if we had Revis longer and earlier in his career.. We'd easily had won at least another 2 more Lombardis.

We had a period of time we were awful in the secondary..

Julian Edelman should be in the HOF.

I love Jules, and 100% they don't win 1 maybe 2 rings without him, but his regular season resume does not merit inclusion in Canton. Post season, sure, but there's no post-season HoF.

Jules will be in the Patriots HOF, but he hasn’t the resume for Canton. That said, he is among my very favorite players of all time. Clutch, 100% effort every single play.

1st team All-Pro means you were the best in your position, #1 among all your peers, the #1 individual champion at your job. Thomas was 1st team All-Pro 5 times., which is insane.

Bruschi is one of my all-time favorite Pats, and Zach Thomas has that lolphin stank, but sometimes you just gotta tip your cap.

I 100% believe they'll put Eli in though, and that could only be for postseason heroics.

Another group of the very good, but not great players.
Aside from revis, guy was an absolutely nightmare to QBs and WRs.. revis island was a real thing.. he was as dominant a lockdown corner this generation has seen.. hamstring injuries slowed his career and age of course..

NY bias, Manning family genuflection.
