I think it's a sign he just wasn't as motivated to play as many here suggested he was.That's interesting. So at the very, very end he gave himself an out should something unexpected materialize. He decided to retire pending contingencies that were not to be.

If he's done it once, he can do it again.There's no way he makes this decision without meaning for it to be definitive after already unretiring once. Especially considering this time he could basically listen to any offers and sign with a team of his choosing, in contrast to last offseason in which the retirement announcement might have been a ploy to force the Bucs hand and try to hop on a better situation. This is done.
