2022 NFC & AFC Championship pregame thread

Hoping for
Bengals>Chiefs
Niners>Eagles
Bengals>Niners

Just for a little historical role reversal, Cincy beats the Niners on a TD pass to Higgins with 34 seconds left.

Why do I get a bad feeling like they will lol
KC has been with a horseshoe up their ass all season long
adding to this (I’m not even going into all the fluke BS plays I’ve seen happen in their games)

2018: Miami Miracle to give them the #1 seed

2019: Pats D giving up the game losing drive to Fitzpatrick in week 17 to give them the bye. #1 seed 14-2 Ravens lose in divisional so they get homefield and a weaker opponent in conference championship

2020: Higgins fumble/touchback in divisional

2021: #1 seed Titans lose in divisional to give them homefield for conference championship

2022: Bills/Bengals cancelled to automatically give them the #1 seed

they’re good but it’s insane how much **** goes their way

I'll go with the Bengals. Tough defense, best remaining healthy QB, us against the world mentality, overperforming OL.
The 49ers defense will put that OL line to the test. But Cincy almost reached the promised land last year with a crappy OL and this year it's definitely improved.

Bengals were the best team in the NFL going down the stretch of the regular season.
Then heading into playoffs 3 of their starting OL are out for the year.
That's where people doubted they could beat both Buff and KC on the road.
No problem. Hasn't been an issue. Burrow has released the ball an average of 2.5 seconds.

They gotta face the KC Refs though. They're the big equalizer

Nice that both the Jills and the Cowpokes lost. I want to see Jimmy G pull a Willis Reed and come back and win it all!

I'd roll with Purdy still. He hasn't lost and keeps making timely throws. Yesterday he did have 3 balls that should've been picked though

A QB with a quick mind and arm can make life a lot easier for an overtaxed OL - as we've seen for many years. Of course, having receivers who are ready for the 2 second throws helps a lot too.

CIN OL did alright on their own account in the run game. BUF was manhandled there.

Its going to be a full week of Mahomes ankle talk.

Then on gameday, Romo and Nance will drone on about KC Superman like no other QBs have played injured.

Not sure how a rookie QB beats the 1 seed on the road. Barely beat a flawed Cowboys team at home. That Eagles team has no weaknesses. It's a tall task.

Eagles have a huge advantage in both trenches. So we’ll see if that old adage still applies.

Going to go with Bengals/Eagles. The Eagles match up favorably with the 49ers. Their DTs should be able to consistently contain San Fran’s ground game and they have the speed to chase down everything underneath. Moreover, Dallas also provided them with a blueprint. Offensively, Hurts can buy time with his legs to push the ball down the field against the Niners’ D. I think it will be them and Cincy for what should be a pretty entertaining Super Bowl.

Philly may have the best O-Line and D-Line of the four teams.

I’m hoping for a third Super Bowl between Bengals and 49ers.

I can see it being Bengals v Eagles. I have a nice Wager at +1200 on 49's but I would not object to seeing Cincy lifting the Lombardi.

Like the Chargers were for the Giants in 2007, the Jags are the Bengals MVP. The Chiefs are 0-3 with a healthy Mahomes against the Bengals, now he has a high ankle sprain.
