It's tough. I would say you've gotta at least take a shot downfield, maybe the guy makes a play, or they get flagged for PI. But that last play had no chance for anything, the DB was right on him. So it's not much different than an incompletion downfield, with the latter at least allowing the drive to continue if the guy catches it or they draw a penalty.

While I like our WR's, i still have "WR envy" for roughly half the teams in the league, Bengals obviously up there at/near the top.

It's definitely hubris to it. To think that it's so easy two guys who have never called offense can do it at the highest level.
