Report: Mac was reaching out to other coaches about his frustrations with the offense

At this point, I want the Zappe-ites to get all the Zappe they can handle good and hard next year so they'll be begging for Mac to come back.
Too bad BB didn't/couldn't trade Zappe after the Browns game. I know he probably didn't because Hoyer isn't around anymore as our backup but that would have been a nice sell-high cash in.

But that's just it, Bill doesn't put up w/ disrespecting coaches: benching Butler, shipping Bennet out, making an ex. out of Jack.

Mac went outside the circle. That's showing disrespect, if true.

I disagree. Hiring your chum who has never done anything on the offensive side of the ball to be the OC is the ultimate disrespect imo. Bill claims he does things that are best for the team. In what world, is having matt pattricia call plays AND coach the O-line best for the team?

Bill set this team up to fail this year.

Zappe’s noodle arm was on display for the MNF audience on that second int against the Bears. Mac’s arm isn’t great but it’s a lot better than Zappe’s.
Are either one of them that far away from Chad Pennington? I'll say this, the best the offense looked all season were Zappe's best moments.

You guys are out of your mind if you think Brady will have any interest coming back at age 46 to this team, with this level of talent, with this coaching staff.

He left when Edelman and a few better pieces were still here, he left when his boy Josh McDaniels was still on offense, he left with problems he had with the current head coach. Idk why some of you think Mac's the main problem and this is in anyway an attractive spot at all for a QB who wants to win if you subtract the current QB from the equation.

No the realistic situation is that if things with Mac "really go south" then Brady will laugh his balls off with how bad Bill botched it without him and will fell every bit as validated in his decision to go.

Also this is a dumb thing to care about. The entire league has been ****ting on the coaching staff. Coaches on other teams have made snide comments, players have, commentators have, even the kindest insiders who take the most vanilla kid gloves on this team acknowledged it. Is it really surprising the QB felt the same way and being in the middle of it aired out his unhappiness?
Brady with this exact same Patriots team otherwise would have had them competing for the division. As good as Buffalo has become, they were unexpectedly more vulnerable this season with the injuries and high turnovers. Brady has a 33-3 career record against Buffalo so he absolutely owns that team. Brady could have made things work with our receivers and running game.

New England would hardly be Brady's first choice and I think he'll have enough preferable opportunities where he'll end up somewhere else. But I don't think he has NE crossed off his list. And if Mac were to be traded, and a competent OC is brought in, then it could open up the Brady possibility a little more. I think Kraft would love it, and if he's calling any shots right now with Bill's plan having crashed and burned, then maybe he can influence a Brady reunion. Maybe but not likely (but not impossible either).

I doubt Giardi was talking about the players. I am sure he is talking about the coaching staff. It may not be Belichick though.
Why are you sure? Which coach would that be: Patricia, Judge?

Noodle arm Zappe have more upside and pocket presence than that whiney cry baby Mac.

Not disagreeing with you, but Bill is the boss. Do you really believe Bill approves of Mac, a 2nd year QB, reaching out to Josh for advice (if true)? I certainly don't.

I wonder if Josh might be in play for Jimmy G in FA the Raiders have the pieces on Offense to compete. Jimmy has already shown when healthy he can play and win with good talent.

Because Giardi used "plenty of people in the building" still believe in Jones. He didn't say the players. Usually, when you are talking about people in the building, it is usually coaching staff and front office people, not players.

Who knows who believe in Jones. Even if Patricia doesn't like Jones personally (which we do not know that), he still might think he is a good QB. Judge seems to have wanted to make the switch earlier in the year because Zappe did what he told him. Nick Caley may love Mac Jones for all we know. Hell, Belichick may believe it too and may be just not giving him the endorsement based as a teaching opportunity to show him that even if he doesn't agree with his coaches, he needs to just fall in line. Who knows?

A lot of people here think Belichick is done with the guy based on his press conferences. But most of them are the same people who thought Jones would be replaced permanently by Zappe long ago based on Belichick's press conferences post the Bears game for several weeks.

I feel that will be the straw that broke the camels back. Anybody who feels BB is going into next season with Mac Jones as Starting QB after what they have witnessed this year: I a have small piece of the Brooklyn Bridge to sell ya. A QB have to show that he can lead a Team back from behind Mac have done that like once BB isn't blind.

Didn't BB reach out to JG after every game when JG was traded?

Yes, found one of the texts.

Zappe had one good game vs Browns, two meh at best games vs Lions and Packers and one awful game vs Bears. Yeah it was horrible. 2 drives don’t make a game. This kind of performance over a few games by a backup doesn’t get the starter benched on any team.

Also Mac’s arm isn’t great…but Zappe’s arm is worse.
You will never be able to argue the facts because your only ammo is to blame everyone else.

VS the Jets pre bye week, Jones lone TD pass was 5 yarder on a rope after the NE defense gratuitously set him up in scoring position. Jones struggled the whole game to score.

The same old tired song and dance from the Dinka - Dunka.

Mac Drives

1 Punt - 1 attempt 0 completions
2 FG - 6 attempts - 5 completions - 34 yards
3 INT - 4 attempts - 2 completions - 26 yards
4 DOWNS - 8 attempts - 5 completions - 48 yards
5 FG - 1 attempt - 1 completion - 15 yards. This was another Mac INT that would have been a PIC 6 but was called back for rouging the Bambino.

20 attempts - 13 completions - 59% completion rate - 113 yards - 0 TDs - 1 INT

I'm not arguing that Mac's arm is great. It's not. But that doesn't mean Zappe has a good arm. He doesn't. It's worse.
