Report: Mac was reaching out to other coaches about his frustrations with the offense

Trubisky has a Cannon and is mobile and the Bills were raving about him.
He never got a fair shake in Pitt with the hometown hero there.

Trubisky was a second-overall first-round draft pick who washed out in Chicago. He was a bust who became a career backup.

Sounds that the players like and support Mac.

Kicking him to the curb after the mess this season on offense sounds like an easy way to alienate the locker room.

I think they're already there. Think players were happy with a pathetic offense that could barely score?

Bill needs to get this locker room back.
A hard nosed coach like Bill O Brein who won’t take lip from the players maybe what is needed.

Math problem:
Brady's salary minus Mac's salary equals _______

The players believe in Mac. They have no power.

I doubt Giardi was talking about the players. I am sure he is talking about the coaching staff. It may not be Belichick though.

But who are the "people in the building"? Is Bill one of those "people"? Or are those players random staffers, or even just some of the players on the team?

Who knows? I assume it is members of the coaching staff, but who knows it is Belichick.

But everyone in media who watch the game film have said from the Vikes game on, there has been a lot to like about the way Mac Jones has played. Belichick watches the same game film. I assume he says the same thing privately. Is it enough for him to believe he can be the QB of the future? Who knows?

Na pass on him too, rolling with Mac.
I agree with you. Carr is a little better than Mac but there are pretty much the same player and Carr is too expensive.

I think Garropolo is a better player than Mac and he is Bill old protege. I could totally see Bill bring him in. He was better in our offense.

Baker Mayfield is an interesting choice. I would bring him in just to compete and see if there is something there. He has more talent than Mac and is another QB who had bad coaches and 4 different OC in 4 years in CLE. And if I remember correctly there were report that Bill loved Baker at the time. I wonder what Bill could do with him.

Bears vs Pats

Mac Jones
Drives
1 - Punt - 2 pass attempts - 1 completion - Passes of -1 yard = - 1 yard
2 - Punt - 1 attempt - 1 completion - Passes of 2 yards = 2 yards
3 - INT - 4 pass attempts - 1 completion - Passes of 12 yards = 12 yards

Mac 42% completion rate - 7 attempts - 3 completions - 13 passing yards - 0 TDs - 1 INT

Bears 10 - 0 Pats

Enter Bailey Zappe
Drives
1 - TD - 3 attempts - 3 completions - Passes of 4, 20 and 30 = 54 yards
2 - TD - 1 attempt - 1 completion - Passes of 43 yards = 43 yards
Zappe 100% completion rate - 4 attempts - 4 completions - 97 passing yards - 1 TD - 0 INT

Bears 10 - 14 Pats
What did Bill Beleichick do wrong? Show me where the wrong decision was made to sit the Bambino?

Zappe had the exact same OC, OL, WRs, TEs as poor old Mac yet when Mac loses its Patricia's fault, but when Zappe loses its all because of him.

Zappe is 2 - 0 as a starter. He nearly pulled of beating Green Bay in Green Bay coming in cold as ice of the bench. He started out hot vs Chicago but made mistakes that need to be corrected.

Why is it that people cannot see that Jones does not have an NFL arm?

His decision making is slow as well unless the receiver is wide open.
His arm is fine... It's your latter point that's an issue...

This year it felt like all the timing was off, and Mac didn't trust his route runners unless he saw green between them and the dbs... That's an issue...

His arm is not ok

Every time he try's to go deep INTs follow. The Poyer INT vs Agahlor in 2021 was caused by the same issue as the INT in 2022 vs Parker @ Miami. The passes did not have enough power behind them.

Zappe had one good game vs Browns, two meh at best games vs Lions and Packers and one awful game vs Bears. Yeah it was horrible. 2 drives don’t make a game. This kind of performance over a few games by a backup doesn’t get the starter benched on any team.

Also Mac’s arm isn’t great…but Zappe’s arm is worse.

At this point, I want the Zappe-ites to get all the Zappe they can handle good and hard next year so they'll be begging for Mac to come back.

Zappe’s noodle arm was on display for the MNF audience on that second int against the Bears. Mac’s arm isn’t great but it’s a lot better than Zappe’s.
