Report: Mac was reaching out to other coaches about his frustrations with the offense

I agree... and it's really too bad. It makes me wonder if Bill feels it's best to just reset at the QB position. Mac wants to be with Josh and Josh wants a cheap QB who can be productive in his system. Bill can get a decent pick back, sign his own former QB-in-waiting Jimmy G (who is still only 31) and use their pretty nice draft haul and cap space this year to rebuild.

If they got a 2nd back for Mac they'd have #14, two 2nds, a 3rd, three 4ths, a 5th, three 6ths and a 7th, which is quite a sum of picks.
be lucky to get a 4

Sounds that the players like and support Mac.

Kicking him to the curb after the mess this season on offense sounds like an easy way to alienate the locker room.

I mean, it's good that players support their QB, but I also worry that this sets up a potential problem where it's Mac vs. Bill and the players are behind Mac. Now your coach has lost your entire locker room. If Bill is sensing that sort of situation forming, he will take drastic measures to head it off.

You're not serious, are you? Bill doesn't out up with going outside his circle for advice, especially to coaches from other teams. That's just a no-no.
Are you seriously pretending to know what BB thinks? It all depends on who and what he was asking.

Seriously though, if this thing with Mac really goes south then it does open up a greater possibility of Brady returning to New England. For a couple of seasons. Brady may have better options frankly so it's possible he won't give it too much consideration. Bill probably wouldn't want the impression of him have to put his tail between his legs. Kraft should love the idea. As should Patriots fans.
You guys are out of your mind if you think Brady will have any interest coming back at age 46 to this team, with this level of talent, with this coaching staff.

He left when Edelman and a few better pieces were still here, he left when his boy Josh McDaniels was still on offense, he left with problems he had with the current head coach. Idk why some of you think Mac's the main problem and this is in anyway an attractive spot at all for a QB who wants to win if you subtract the current QB from the equation.

No the realistic situation is that if things with Mac "really go south" then Brady will laugh his balls off with how bad Bill botched it without him and will fell every bit as validated in his decision to go.

Also this is a dumb thing to care about. The entire league has been ****ting on the coaching staff. Coaches on other teams have made snide comments, players have, commentators have, even the kindest insiders who take the most vanilla kid gloves on this team acknowledged it. Is it really surprising the QB felt the same way and being in the middle of it aired out his unhappiness?

All these leaks are weird AF. Have we ever seen anything like this? I stand by my take that Bill is too old to reach a/o motivate these younger players. What a sh*t show.
Yeah we saw a million leaks towards the end of the Brady era about how guys like Brady and Gronk were frustrated with Belichick. Some of it was over embellished. But when we hear Gronk talk all excited about how Brady texted him "footballs fun again", well it's hard to ignore that some of the smoke was there beforehand.

It's not really surprising that younger guys who never had the extreme success those guys had aren't all in.

Uh...someone just suggested "Mitch Trubisky" as an option..

.I, Joe "The Seer" Kerr have had a vision of YOUR future here at Patsfans..

Trubisky has a Cannon and is mobile and the Bills were raving about him.
He never got a fair shake in Pitt with the hometown hero there.
LMAO!!!"I never saw the Mitcher play but Chris Simms says..."...you got a better chance of seeing Zappe at QB AND meeting God than the Pats ever signing Mitch Trubisky.

Mac + locker room vs Bill.

Who wins?

probably bill, but who knows... calculus is all thrown off these days when you take age and everything else into account

Now expecting the 2k kids and millennials to buy into belichick's boomer way i.e

millennials are hitting their 40's, time to stop blaming us for these younger generations problems... theres been 2 other generations that have come since millennials
