Id trade Brown actually. Hes just not PTP. Mac/QB needs a fighter there not a lazy wannabe. Not good for Cole's development either.
Time to move on.

He should give decent return pick + cap : his contract is appealing to buyers in a desert OT market.

Move Onwenu to RT, Hines looked promising at RG, signing somebody like Dilliard for LT shouldn't break the bank, then see what Draft offers (dont see plug and play LT esp for NE in the Draft - maybe @BaconGrundleCandy is more optimistic : )

@Ian

Can you please explain to me and other people asking why our top poster @BaconGrundleCandy is NOT ALLOWED to answer my question here??

Why we cant have a conversation on the topic with people we want to??

Do we have to open several threads on the same topic in order to have that??

thanks

Using that "logic", even without the blatantly dishonest attempt to pump up BB's ring numbers, Robert Horry is one of the 9 greatest players in NBA history, better than the likes of Kareem, Jordan, Cousy, Magic, Bird, Duncan, Kobe, etc....
Using your logic for Gibbs doing it with 3 different QBs don't you have to give Horry credit for doing it with 3 different teams?

Just curious but do you actually think Gibbs is better than BB?

I’d love to see a Dugger extension this off-season

If Sean McVay steps down as Rams HC, former Patriot Kevin Oconnel is their Offensive Coordinator and he might be available. Of course this all is predicated on his relationship with BB and the Pats organization.

The Patriots changed their offense in 2022 to the Rams and 49ers scheme. The Pats got rid of the Fullback. The Rams use a big WR in that role when they choose and the 49ers have a guy who is a Swiss Army knife player Kyle Juszczyk.

The Earnhardt/Perkins offense is phased out and BB is setting this franchise up for the future complete with a new offense.

No but his argument is that being a good coach is not solely dependent of the number of title you get that’s pretty much player dependent. The last 3 years proves it. I tend to agree with him.

I am not arguing that Bill is not the GOAT because he is but I am not in the camp « there is Bill on top and the rest of the league kissing his feet » Bill has been looking very normal the last 3 years.

100% credit to Bill to find Brady and develop him in the early years but I also think that a lot of good coaches didn’t have the opportunity to have a player of that caliber.

If you take Reid for example. He has Mahomes for 4 years without counting this one, has been at the minimum in the AFCCG every year, has been to two SB and won one over 20 years that’s 10 SB appearance and 5 SB wins. Reid is not at the same level as Bill but he is pretty close.

Wynn played LT last year and Brown played RT. The left side is where Wynn has played his entire career until this year. Evan Lazar pointed out all year long that Wynn technique was in shambles and had trouble to adjust to the right side. Someone could argue than switching those position between Wynn and Brown wasn’t a good idea.

I know it’s PFF but it’s just to give an idea of the performance. Last year Wynn grade at LT was 74.9. Not world beater but decent. This year it was 54.6

Brown grade last year at RT was 79.3 and this year it was 67.4

Taking into account that RT are usually less paid than LT there is a component added that a guy like Wynn in the last year of his deal could think the move was also made with the vision of diminishing his value and for a guy like Brown you paid him like a RT and now you asking him to play LT.

My opinion is based on last year I don’t think switching them was necessarily the best move for the OL.
Yep. The numbers prove it.

The belief was that Brown would revert to 2018 form at LT and Wynn's athleticism and mobility would be a benefit at RT. He had moments where he looked good but couldn't sustain it.

Need to throw some blame at Wynn here as well. His attitude and fragility didn't help matters.

Everyone has always included the Super Bowls BB has won in NY when discussing his legacy I don't know why (actually I do) now all of a sudden it's a reach to include those. But yeah you are at the top of the coaching hierarchy with a resume like that no matter who you had on your team. This isn't the NBA where Erik Spoelstra can get carried to a win by LeBron D-Wade and Bosch. Football is the ultimate team sport and I'd argue the most reliant on coaching. He's the best to ever do it, even with a few .500 seasons sprinkled into the mix, just as Brady is the GOAT playoff QB even with the clunkers he's had throughout the years

Defensive snap counts for the year:

I think both Brown and Wynn attitude were highly questionable this year.

In my opinion that situation stemmed from the contract situation for both.

Wynn was in his last year of his contract and felt the best for him was to have a solid year at LT prove himself to get a good deal next year. Now you switch him to a position and side he never play in his life and he felt in my opinion that Bill was trying to screw him.

For Brown if I am not mistaken was sign to be the LT from the start in 2018? This time Bill signed him to play RT and imo he is a better RT than LT. In 2018 he was good at the end of the year but the overall year it was pretty shaky. imo Brown would have not signed for that money if Bill asked him to play LT from the start so in m opinion he also felt that Bill was screw him up a bit.

That’s just my personal 2 cents

What do people think of Brandon Cooks as a wr target in the offseason. He recently said he hopes to be traded in the offseason.

He’s not the number one we all hoped for but I think he could help and could really help Tyquan grow because they have a similar skill set.

Not a bad theory. I could believe it. Very plausible.

I think if we target a wr, it has to be that "difference maker" or true number 1, someone like Hopkins. I considers Cooks more of a 2 or 3. I would pass on him personally.

Ewww no thanks

I can't believe there is a BB v Tomlin debate.

You pro-Tomlin's are out of your tree. The BB hate has clouded your logic
These are the same people who scoffed at "Tomlin is a great coach" during the Pats run.
