- OL ---> awful
- Offensive playcall ---> subpar
- Jonnu Smith ---> total waste of $$$
- Agolor --> waste of $$$
- Mac Jones --> not playoff caliber QB (decision making + very average arm)
- BillB ---> Needs to retire as HC/GM. Move up the mgmt ladder
So…is Ventrone expected back in Indy under their new HC? Can the Patriots lure him away with something like ST plus safeties coach? In 2018, McDaniels was going to take Judge to Indy and presumably the Patriots would have promoted Ventrone. Instead, McDaniels and Judge stayed, and the Colts hired Ventrone instead.
My guess is that Judge won’t make himself a candidate on STs. He’s effectively working for free for two more years (and getting paid by the Giants), and experience on offense (yes, even if the performance isn’t ideal) will give him a better chance at a HC job again someday. It may not be QBs and it may not be in New England, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still on offense next season.
Pats are in a tough spot right now. They are a 8 to 10 win caliber team and it’s tough to draft elite players from the middle of the draft. They’ll never bottom out as long as BB is here. Mediocrity isn’t great in the NFL.
Firstly why would sean payton want to come ? what is his incentive ? And payton had a few losing seasons with brees at QB. he won 1 SB with brees over so many years .How long will you as a fan be patient with him if he goes 7-8 and 9-8 in the first 2 seasons ? Because that is what you ahve currently with BB. Or are you expecting payton to come in and make this a double digit win team from the start ?
only here will a guy who did nothing but play special teams, and mediocrely at best over the last several seasons, get rose bouquets from the media and fans....
Yeah I think many here would agree with you. Better playcalling, a better (and healthy) offensive line and a receiver you need to gameplan for probably makes them able to consistently make playoff spot. Trouble is it's not like tackles and #1 WRs grow on trees, and the free agent class isn't hot. Probably need to trade...
Would be nice to see his arm strengthen.
I wouldn’t hate a trade for a Lamar Jackson or drafting a QB in the second or trade down bottom of the first for a Max Duggan.
I would try to get Jerry Jeudy for a second round pick.
Interesting, because I was just talking about this to Barth, we have Onwenu, Uche and Dugger all coming up at the same time, in what order do you want to prioritize?
Too many mistakes against a superior team. Starting with special teams, obviously giving up 2 KO returns for TDs is inexcusable. For a team that invests a lot in their ST, this was a major Fail this season.
3 INTs in the second half of a must win game is not what you're looking for from your quarterback. A pretty wasted season for Mac ends disappointedly.
Defensively they got burnt a couple times by an elite quarterback. The inability of the defense to step it up against the better quarterbacks in NFL is now a two year trend.
Yeah, it's a ridiculous stand. Without BB, this team would probably have won 6 games this year if lucky. My family always says that we'll regret if we ever get rid of him.
Myles Bryant, ladies and gentlemen. Stare at your teammate while the receiver blows right past you. I don’t really fault JJ on that Diggs touchdown. Just have to tip your hat to two elite players, making an elite play. This Brown TD is a different story.
They hung with them for the most part 11 v 11 and created the turnovers that they needed, which makes their special teams play/futility even more frustrating.
how about the game we were robbed by the officials agains the Raiders or the one where we were going in for the win against Cincy when Rham fumbled? Those are two tough losses imo
